"Harry, Harry! Get out of here! Harry get out! He's a maniac!" Nick cried. "Harry? Harry!"

"He doesn't like you, can't you tell? He wont even talk to you. Just leave him alone." Louis sneered.

"Speak for yourself!" Nick spat back.

"You really aren't in the position to be talking back." Louis' words made Nick lose his confidence as he looked back at his bounded hands and legs in panic. At least his mouth was free now.

"Harry help me! Harry! Please I'm sorry! Harry!"

"Shhh!" Louis snapped and held the knife so that it glistened in the light spilling through the closed blinds.

"Harry." Louis whispered as he circled Nick. "Go back to the room."

I couldn't though. I was mesmorized- no I was paralyzed because I was stuck in fear more than awe. Louis had a knife. A boy my age had a knife. I was in the same room a boy with a knife. Nick's, or equally my life, was balancing on the edge of a blade. My throat was dry but my eyes rolled smoothly as they followed the knife's actions. Twisting and balancing in Louis' hand like an acrobat on a tight rope, rolling and making sudden flips. Gliding through the air as Louis played with it as if it were only a toy. As if this was only child's play.

"Harry?" Louis looked at me, his eyes daring me to refuse but begging me to say something at the same time.

"I-I-I" I stuttered, the fear choking me and ripping harshly through my vocal chords.

"Kn-Knife." I panted even though I'd done no exercise. The pure tension in the room was exhausting and suffocating.

"Oh." Louis said as if he hadn't noticed the instrument before. "Yeah." He said in the same surprised tone and held the knife away from him as if it were contagious.

"Louis what are you doing?" I asked as I was consumed by the idea of child's play. As if this was a safe situation to ask questions.

"I-I don't know." He whispered croakily as his eyebrows crinkled in confusion. His eyes stared right through the potential murderer and suddenly snapped his fingers open. The knife dropped with a clunk and the sound seemed to echo like a pin dropping in an empty, tiled room. Nick tensed and my ears dulled like they would when I go under water. I lifted my head heavily as I struggled against the weight of the air and my eyes rolled onto Louis. He was struck with fear and pure stillness. I forced my eyes over to Nick but they acted as though they were rolling in tarmac. Unlike me and Louis, Nick was moving very fast. Twice the speed as normal actually. He was pulling visciouly at the ropes at his hands and I was confused as to why I wasn't helping. I knew that Nick needed me but I was more interested in Louis. Tears were rolling down his numb cheeks. His eyes were glazed over into another dimension. His mind was buzzing yet his lips only shivvered against the cool pain in the room. His hand shook slightly but trembled every few seconds as if it were struggling with holding a great weight. His conscience maybe?

"Harry!" I slowly turned my head, each movement slowed against the denial of the situation my mind was trying to up hold but I couldn't believe my own lies.

"Harry!! HELP!!" A strong hand suddenly grasped my head and heaved me out of the non-existant water. My ears delved back out of the dullness and my surroundings returned to normal speed, if not faster. Adreniline thundered through my veins and splintered into my heart. I shot my head in all directions, my eyes sharply darting over the flashes of colours passing through my vision- details blurred into block colours yet me ears pricked at each whisper of the room.

"Harry! I'm here!" My head fell onto Nick who was still sprawled across the floor but was now gnawing against the ropes. Does he think he's Bear Gryles or something? He'll never get out by doing that. He'll never get out with you just looking either. Oh yeah...
