I walked out of the changing room behind Louis, rubbing my cheek to cool the sting of the slap. We walked down the corridor leading towards the entrance doors and I still walked behind Louis because he looked like he needed the space. He suddenly stopped and turned around but didn't look at my face. He snatched my sleeve and slightly pinched my skin and yanked me to his side. I stumbled and regained my balance whilst Louis started walking again. He flung his arm over my shoulder in his usual position and we walked together. He could have just told me to walk next to him not behind him because my arm aches now.
We walked out of the doors and over the courts and playground. It was lunch now and if it was anything like yesterday I was scared. We carried on walking until I realised where we were, I could see the recycling bins the boys had beat me up behind yesterday. I stopped like I did yesterday at Louis' house on the stairs because I couldn't face the pain again- it was just too much. Louis snatched my hair with the hand which was on my shoulder. I winced and my face scrunched up. My head snapped downwards to my chest and my hands flew up to my head to try and pry him off. My eyes started to water and I had this feeling in my nose that tickled, like a sneeze. Louis started to stride away and forcefully dragged me by the hairs on my head. I stumbled a lot and held onto Louis' hand at the top of my head. Suddenly I tripped over my own feet and was thrown to the ground. I landed on my side and hissed at the impact. I pulled my knees up to my chest and gripped the top of my head and tried to rub the pain away. Eventually, the pain stopped and the tickling in my nose faded away. I opened my eyes and my vision was blurry with tears and black floating dots. I felt a tear roll down my cheek and I wiped it away.
"God Curly you're such a wimp! The others aren't even here yet and you're crying!" Louis sneered at me and I could feel the tips of his shoes touching the bottom of my spine. I rubbed at my eyes to make sure no more tears escaped and to get rid of the black dots.
"Get up." He ordered me, so I did slowly. The black dots returned again when I stood up so I stood still for a moment so they could disappear again. I stood opposite him and he examined my eyes again. I felt very uncomfortable and looked the other way but Louis grabbed my chin harshly and made me look into his eyes. Why does he keep doing this? He bought himself back to focus and then pushed my chin away. I slightly shook my head and Louis crossed his arms. We stood about a metre away from each other.
"So what are you taking for your extra curricular?"
"Errrm h-hockey?" It came out as a question again because I was scared that he would disapprove.
"No you're not. You're doing football with me. Understand?" I nodded my head but I was disappointed, I was looking forward to another lesson with Ed but I had no chance now. "Get your form out." He said and sat down. I slipped my hand into my jeans back pocket and pulled the form out. I unfolded it and then looked down at Louis. He tapped the ground in front of him and I knew he wanted me to sit down with him. I lowered myself to the ground and sat cross legged. I had my form in one hand and then I panicked because I didn't have my bags. I looked around the area and saw both of my bags slumped on the ground where I was previously huddled in a ball. It was a wonder that I had managed to keep hold of them whilst I was being dragged. I turned back around to find Louis holding a pen in one hand and his other hand outstretched. He waved his outstretched arm a bit, gesturing that he wanted the form so I passed it to him. He took it off me and spread it along the ground. He smoothed out all of the creases and then swivelled it around on its side so we could both see. He's done it again. He's gone from dragging me around to sitting down on the floor together. Angry Louis to Nice Louis, just like yesterday.
He chucked the pen at me and I startled. It hit my chest and fell to my crotch. I picked it up and looked back up to Louis. "Right," he said "write your name where it says and then your form." he leaned slightly over his lap so that he could read the form. I bent forward too and turned the paper slightly towards me so that I could write easier. I wrote my name and form in the space given and leaned back again. "Ok now circle football and I take it on Mondays. I can still take you home so tell your mum she doesn't need to worry about that." I was just about to thank him but I remembered the no talking thing so I just nodded in thanks to him. He was pointing to the form and I looked to what he was showing me. It was a table with one column titled 'Sport' and a second column titled 'Day'. I ran my finger down the 'Sport' column until I found football and I then circled it with my pen. I then moved my finger over to the box in the 'Day' column next to football. The words 'Monday/Thursday/Friday' were printed inside of the box and I circled Monday. "Now sign here." Louis told me, pointing further down the page at a dotted line. The line said 'Student' in front of it and a line below it said 'Parent/Guardian'. I signed my name and sat up straight. Louis picked up the paper and folded it again.
