Me (and Nathen imaginary): *chatting and getting out of school*
The senior on my bus: So um hey Becca, I can't find the bus.
Me: ...What?
Nathen: Well, there's a big gap where it normally is.
Senior: Yeah. I've looked all over, it's not here.
Me: This is a problem.
Nathen: Let's see if we can find one of the bus people. Maybe it's just not in it's usual spot for some reason...?
-After several minutes of talking to adults and repeating ourselves-
Monitor: Okay yes, it appears bus 2 is not here. Go to the office and see if they can do an all-call or talk to transportation office.
Me: Wait is that-- PAPA!! PAPA I HAVE A PROBLEM.
Nathen: Oh, her dad. He's here for tutoring, right.
My dad: What's up Becca?
Me: So my bus is missing.
Dad: You can hang out and come with my after tutoring if it doesn't show up, alright?
Me: ok! *runs back to senior (and Nathen)*
-So we go to the front office and they have no idea what to do so we end up just sitting and waiting and complaining how screwed up this school's manufacturing and systems are-
Me: *whispers to self* I'm REALLY tempted to start cursing right now...
Nathen: Woah. Who are you and what have you done with Becca.
Me: WHY CAN'T ANYTHING EVER GO NORMAL IN THIS SCHOOL. SO FAR IN THE FIRST QUARTER TOO MANY WEIRD AND SCREWED UP THINGS HAVE HAPPENED. First week of school my bus continually was 15 minutes late, then one of my cool teachers suddenly moved, then there was that lockdown-evac-fire alarm thing yesterday, NOW THIS.
Senior: Yeah this school is really weird.
Nathen: Can students send in those complaint things that your mom did during the first week?
Me: IDK
Front office lady: You guys are just going to have to sit tight okay. *starts speaking German to other office lady* *on intercom* One of the vice principals or the transportation office guy to the front office please. *on phone now*
Senior: Well. I guess I can take the train home...
Nathen: I'm not so annoyed that we are waiting here, it's that this has happened in the first place.
Me: Even Naples had better bus systems than this. And that's saying something, since it's Naples, Italy.
-I (and Nathen) decide to go upstairs and find my dad and maybe take advantage of the computers for tutoring while the senior goes to the food court so his dad can pick him up-
-so we thought-
-the time is now 2:15. We got out at 1:30. The busses left at 1:55, 15 minutes later than they were supposed to. THIS IS GREAT.-
Senior: *finds me in the halls* hey, Becca! The bus just showed up.
Me: YOU'RE SERIOUS. WTF(Frick but I was ticked enough you could put either f-word)
Nathen: can we just stay here and ride home with your dad still?
Me: that's what I was going to suggest.
Senior: so you're not coming then?
Me: screw it no. I'm done with this. See you tomorrow I guess.
Senior: Yeah I guess *leaves*
Me: *mutters under breath* if the bus comes tomorrow...
-so we wait again and I do some online work on the computers until 2:40 when tutoring ends and we meet my dad who was in the room down the hall helping some algebra 2 students because my dad knows virtually anything about everything-
-I explain what happened in more detail as we leave the school-
Dad: you know what probably happened? The driver forgot it was an early release day so when he thought he was getting here 15 minutes early he was actually 45 minutes late.
Nathen: OOOOHHHH that DOES make sense...
Me: technically 25 minutes early NOT but whatever *is still pissed about this*
-so we go to the middle school where my brother was staying after school and I GOT GUMMY CANDY FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A YEAR- Ahem. And then we went home.-
Becca is still triggered about this because wacked up things never happened like this at the middle school and I'm wondering why the heck the people in charge here decide to put up with this garbage and why this school was built so... crappily is really the only way to describe it. Half the things are cheap and don't work for this school. Even the walls look like they were the cheapest things you could buy in The Sims and there's no AC here and the intercom sucks and the roladons don't work 80% of the time and the fire alarm is lousy and after an actual fire drill the lights wack up.
Take me back to the middle school just so that things function properly. Please.
auf weidersehen
