anyway, I'm not a big fan of the whole "fly to the top of the screen to get a bonus" (aka a life fragment or a bomb fragment)
99.9% of the time they're bombs, and the bombs you collect disappear each time you die.
It's SO HARD to get lives in this game.
In SA you go life fragments after pretty much every spell
I literally have no idea how to get life frags in TD but that's okay because to be honest a rarely play that game
UFO obviously had the three red UFOs and there were a lot of them
This game, on the other hand, only seems to give me life fragments in stage three
And I always die on stage three. A lot.
I also wanna mention the backgrounds in this game. All touhou games have cool backgrounds, but I've specifically noticed how cool these look. Maybe because it's a newer touhou game? Idk
But hey, you know what I like about touhou: the characters
So I'm gonna talk about those fucks
Wakasagihime: she's a mermaid. I like mermaids. Admittedly, there's not much to her character. She's a mermaid. That's about it. She's cute though, I like her design, especially her hair. Her danmaku isn't anything special but she's a fairly hard first stage boss. I'd actually say she's more difficult than Nazrin. She's really cute though, I like sweet characters. Usually I'm against ships but I like the relationship that the fandom gives her and Kagerou
Sekibanki: fuck yeah. Fuckin yes. I love her design so much. I like her personality too, the sort of defiant nature she has. Also, I mean, she detaches her goddamn head. She's cool. I don't find her spells too hard, except maybe the last one because it gets a bit chaotic. I only wish that there was more of her in fanon
Kagerou: she goes awoo and I love her but also I hate her because she's impossible anyway-
I don't have much to say about her, but I do like her character. And her dress. Her design is quite different from that of other characters, at least in my opinion.
Benben: idk, but I love her dress. Her spells are super hard. She wasn't really given much of a personality, which is kinda unfortunate. Usually stage bosses don't speak but hey yatsuhashi did so yay? Anyway, the Tsukumo sisters deserve a bit more canon light. Usually bosses aren't left so...undeveloped? Especially stage four (examples: Satori, Seiga, Sagume, and others were are important and developed) but, oh well...
Seija: she's such a fucking asshole. What a great character. Seija might be the single most interesting character in all of touhou (in my opinion). She's so...unstable and her motives are questionable. Her ability is pretty interesting too. I don't really like this whole "Seija speaks in reverse psychology" thing. Mostly because she THINKS opposite, she doesn't speak opposite. It's not her words that are reversed, it's her state of mind. If she says something's good, she generally does believe in her mind that it's good. It's just that probably no one else agrees with her. God I love Seija. But also no.
Shinmyoumaru: (yay I got to her because I quickly did easy mode hooorayyyy)
she's small
I really liked the spell where she makes you huge. It's was pretty fun. I wonder how young Shinmyoumaru actually is. She seems a bit immature and she was totally manipulated by a fucking amanojaku which, by the way, are pretty much #1 on the list of Youkai you should never fucking listen to and instead throw rocks at. Seriously though amanojakus are literally only known for being wicked and manipulative did no one fucking tell her this?

Still haven't unlocked the extra stage yet *cries* so I don't know anything about her fight but boi if she's anything like Benben then I'm fucked
I love her, she's just so fucking chill. Homegirl doesn't give a shit what's happening she's just happy to be there. She is a wonderful example of a character craving power for a totally understandable reason and honestly ZUN is the king of making characters like that. She just wants to be happy. Let Raiko be happy.
I love how the fight ends with everyone being fucking friends
