Let me talk about UFO

Overall:

New favorite touhou game. The whole idea with collecting the UFOs was interesting, it was similar to the divine spirits in TD, only much more engaging. My issue with it was that I would chase after them and end up flying into a bullet.

Each character had they're own unique attacks, it wasn't just "danmaku", the all had something new to offer. SA didn't really have too much of this, TD did a little, but really only for Seiga, Yoshika, and Futo.

The attacks are very pretty and they all fit their character's theme.

The music in UFO is one of my favorites, but fighting Byakuren myself actually made me tear up a bit. Her theme is, no pun intended, really emotional.

My only problem with this game is that between the movement of the UFOs, the red and blue boxes (I dunno what the word for them is), and the high amount of bullets on the screen, it was hard to focus as well as tell apart blue boxes from blue bullets.

Stage one)
Nazrin's theme is WAY too good for a stage one theme. I can't say I remember much from this stage, since it is stage one, which is usually a tutorial stage

Stage two)
Also not very memorable. For some reason, all I can think of is Kogasa twirling her umbrella. That's it.

Stage three)
This stage gave me a lot of trouble and I'm not sure why. I had to use a bunch of continues. Ichirin's pose is cute af, tho, it makes up for the fact that she's not doing anything throughout the fight.

Stage four)
I loved this stage theme??? Why did I never listen to it before??? I also really like Murasa's anchor's, those were cool. Her theme is cool too.

Stage five)
The mood in this stage was actually really cool.

Curvy lasers.

Stage six)
I'm not sure why, but I didn't get to all of Byakuren's spell cards when I defeated her? I know this because there was that one spellcard with the green spinny thing that kills me every time and for some reason she was defeated before I even got to that spell. I also know that she has some speedy spell card but I didn't even see that one.

Guess I used too many continues or something.

I'm blaming Shou and her stupid fucking curvy lasers.

As said, I started crying when I first started fighting her and I'm not sure why. I'm not one to cry over video games. Maybe it was because of sleep deprivation, maybe it was because I had finally gotten to the final boss, maybe it was because Byakuren is a damn beautiful character with a damn beautiful theme. Who knows?

I really enjoyed this game though, but I suck at bullet hell because I have horrible reflexes. When I get nervous I involuntarily swing to the right or left and usually, that means I fly into a bullet.

Ichirinpose/10 game tho
