Today, one of my friends (im calling her A) comes up to me and is talking about one of my best friends (calling her B)
A shouts at me, "please spare me!"
And I'm like, "lol, what"
She then. Fucking says. "Spare me from B! She won't stop talking about marching band, it's so annoying."
Now, for some context, B has been working super hard to get into marching band. It has been B's dream to get into it, and she recently found out that she had actually been accepted. The yesterday was her first marching band rehearsal.
Apparently, B had been gushing to A about her marching band experience. You know, LIKE ANY OTHER HUMAN WHO WAS HAPPY ABOUT SOMETHING WOULD DO.
When B is finished, A literally comes up to me BASICALLY COMPLAINING BECAUSE B WAS "TALKING ABOUT MARCHING BAND TOO MUCH"
this actually ticks me off so bad. B was expressing joy, and her method of doing that is by talking about it. Do you guys ever get excited about something and just want to gush about it. Can you imagine someone actually feeling the need to express that you being excited about something is "annoying"
Like???
Let them be happy???

I'm so sorry that the world doesn't revolve around you. You poor thing, you had to listen to your friend talk about the things that she's happy about. How dare she inconvenience you by being happy about something!
LET PEOPLE BE HAPPY. I ACTUALLY REALLY WANTED TO YELL AT A. B WORKED SO HARD FOR MARCHING BAND JUST LET HER TALK ABOUT IT.
LET HER TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH FUN IT IS. LET HER LAUGH ABOUT HOW STRICT THE TEACHER CAN BE. LET HER SHOW YOU HOW HARD HER MUSIC IS. SHE WANTS TO TALK ABOUT THIS TO SOMEONE. SHES HAPPY. SHES EXCITED. SHES PROUD.

You should be honored that you have a friend that trusts you enough to completely open up and talk with you like this. She's happy and comfortable, and you're going to tell her that she's annoying?
(Also, A is a bit of a hypocrite. The girl always goes off ranting about her parents and guess who always listens and offers advice: B)
(B always listens. About A's parents, about A's siblings, about whatever teacher or student gave her shit. She listens to you angrily rant, and you think that it's annoying for her to happily open up to you?)
