It had been a few weeks and you still go to visit your boyfriend Sam. He had some struggles lately that landed him in the psych ward. You keep going every day to check up on him. Today wasn't any different, the nurses have come to know you very well. Even a few of the other patients got to know you better. You knock on the side of the door and find Sam sitting on the bed looking drained.
"Hi Sammy." You smile walking over. Sam looks up at you and you see the bags under his eyes.
"(Y/N)?" Sam questions trying to debate if it's really you.
"How are you today?" You ask taking his hand and squeezing it.
"Not any better.." He sighs.
"Still seeing Lucifer?" You whisper softly sitting on the bed by him. Sam just nods slightly and you frown."We will get through this baby." Sam looks over at you and frowns.
"(Y/N), you need to move on." Sam says soft. You heart hurts a little and you feel tears prick at your eyes.
"Sammy, I'm not leaving you." You respond softly to touching his face. Sam flinches a little.
"(Y/N), give up.. I'm not going to get better." Sam says soft. His eyes flick to the corner and then he squeezes his eyes shut.
"Sammy, baby." You say soft. "I love you, I'm not giving up on you. I will find a way to make this right."
"He's doing terrible things to you." Sam whispers soft.
"It's okay baby, I'm fine." You whisper and lean forward to put your forehead against his."look at me Sam." His eyes open and he stares into your eyes.
"How can you stay with me?" Sam whispers.
"Because, Sam. You are my life," you whisper. "You never gave up on me so I sure as hell won't give up on you." A smile crosses Sam's lips for the first time since he checked into this place. You can't help but smile back. You lean forward and plant the softest kiss on his lips.
"I love you." Sam says softly touching your cheek.
"I love you Sam." You respond. "I promise we will get you through this. You fight Lucifer, he's just a hallucination baby." Sam just smiles again and kisses you. Although he could still hear lucifer, for once Sam ignored him and focused on you.
