He never did say 'I love you'.

He had so many chances to do so.

But he wasted it.

You were such a cheerful girl. A girl who saw the beauty in everything. A girl who rarely cries. A girl full of smiles.

He loved that of you. You were always bringing the good out of him. Always there to remind that there was still good in this world. Always there to show him that he could love someone, and that he could be loved too.

The life of his eyes were gone, even if he wasn't dead.

He felt so numb remembering the day he fell in love with you. When he hurt his forehead and you were the only one left at school, with him hesitating and disagreeing, you stubbornly lifted the hair covering his eyes.

He won't ever forget the look in your eyes that were filled with awe and marvel as they met his.

He always wished that he could replay and experience that moment again. He never wished so hard until now.

Clutching the bouquet of (Favorite Flower), tears began to fall from his lifeless reddish-brown eyes.

"Chiba! Chiba! Chiiiba-kun~ I know! I'll call you Chibakka!" You giggled, using Star Wars as a reference.

"No." He said.

"No? How about Ryu? Ryu, it is!"

He held tightly the bouquet, slowly bringing his hands into his face and started sobbing. Oh, how he wished he could turn back time.

Day after day, laughing with you. Smiling with you. Simply being with you. He didn't say a word of his feelings.

"I love you.." He whispered to the tombstone before him.
