|59.| Treats - Isogai Yūma X Reader

"Welcome, (L/N)-san." The manager of the café Isogai works at greeted you.

"Hi~" You smiled and took your seat at your usual spot. The back.

You ordered a strawberry shortcake and brought out your book to continue reading.

Your cake was brought by Isogai, "A shortcake this time, huh?" He smiled as he settled your order on the table.

You took your nose away from your book and your eyes were filled with tears.

Isogai's eyes widend and put down the tray he was holding and shook your shoulders, "Why?! What happened?"

"Oh, Isogai." You sniffed and wiped your tears, "It's just that somebody died protecting the main character's sister-"

He released his grip on your shoulders and gave out a sigh of relief, "Don't scare me like that. I thought somebody just hurt you."

A small blush was shown on your face, "Eh? Ah. I'm sorry."

"Good." He said and got the tray, "Oh yeah. Have you read the sign outside? We'll be closing earlier today."

"Oh. Okay." You replied, "Until when?"

"Just for today." He said, "Oh. Uh. I need to get back to work now."

"Yup. See ya." You said.

Your eyes followed him for a bit. He was greeting customers and he seemed to be in a hurry.

'Why is he such in a rush? Are they preparing for a birthday? Must be the manager's party or something.' You thought and went back to reading your book.

The next day, the cafe was filled with balloons and other decorations. You looked at the sign you have failed to notice yesterday and it said:

Lovey-Dovey Week~

Give special treats to your special someone - treats of all kinds. To make it even more special, you can personalize it as such.

These treats will be considered as a confession so hurry up youngsters and couples~

January 15-20

You entered the cafe without a care in the world about this lovey-dovey shizz and sat on your usual spot.

The place was quite crowded. Couples were trying that event thing. Some were blushing like crazy. Little kids bought some for their mom or dad to show their appreciation. Some high schoolers were also here hooking each other up.

You didn't even bother to get something thinking that you might be adding up to their work so you just sat quietly, like what a kawaii potato would do, and brought out a new book.

You saw Isogai, putting down a smoothie on your table.

"Isogai, I didn't order anything." You said.

"It's on the house," He said, "For being a regular."

"If you say so." You said and took a sip of the shake, "Quite the people you've got."

"Yes. It's great to see that the event is doing well." He said.

"It's uncommon for you guys to hold this kind of stuff." You said.

"The manager wanted some change." He replied, "Is that a new book?" He pointed to your book.

"Yup. The next installment of what I have read yesterday." You said proudly, "It's really great!"

"I would love to check it out some time." He said.

"Yaaay! Now we can fangirl and fanboy!!" You exclaimed.

Isogai let out a laugh at your adorableness, "I better be going now." He said as he checked on his wristwatch, "See you later, (F/N)."

"M'kay." You smiled and watched him leave.

Before turning back to your book, something that was on the table caught your eye. A heart-shaped lollipop.

You picked it up and wondered if Isogai accidentally left it but then you remembered the sign outside.

"What.....the..."

Your face blushed fifty shades of red and you glanced over to Isogai to see him chuckling.

He glanced back at you and smiled, making your face explode.

You gulped down the smoothie, thinking that it would make you feel cooler but it only gave you a brain freeze.

You held your head and slammed it on the table unsure of what was happening. You slowly got your book and used it to cover your embarrassment and let out a small pout on your face, "You could've just told me directly.. stupid ikemen."

Intramurals is coming up! We'll be having no academics next week!! XDD Yaaay! No more homework!!!
