Just some short story I thought of. I'm bored... And I missed writing so here you go! XD
This is a preview of a story I'm going to post some time later. Feel free to tell me your opinions
---------------------
In a room covered with nothing but pure white, a frail body rests on a soft bed and many stuffed toys (all white as snow) littered her abode. A low hum can be heard on the television set as it switches channels.
It was lonely, even with the empty eyes of the dolls staring at her small frame and their soft fur close to her accompanied by the loud noises the television emits, it was lonely. Even with the light that passes through the transparent glass window beside her, she felt as if the world around her is dark.
She held her knees close to her chest as she sat up, trying to hold back the endless tears that flowed for days. She felt like she lost all the hope she had desperately gripped on for a long time. Placing a frail hand on top of hairless head, she clutched it and let out a silent cry.
She only has a few weeks left to live. She can't fight cancer any longer. It won't be long before she disappears from the world she loves.
A knock echoes across the room, and she quickly wiped the tears off her face with haste and grabbed a nearby cuddly bunny as her dear ones entered the room.
Her mother smiled gently at the young teen and behind her was her daughter's boyfriend.
"Good morning, Lyric!" Her mother greeted cheerfully, to which Lyric responded with a smile brighter than the sun.
"Hey mom. And hi Stephen!" Lyric laughed and weakly threw a teddy bear at Stephen's face, which he caught with no effort.
He smiled wryly and sat beside her on her bed, placing the bunny on top of her head. Lyric's mother laughed as well and grabbed the laundry basket in Lyric's room before heading downstairs to leave the two lovebirds some alone time.
"We're about to have dinner downstairs. Up for salad?"
"That'd be great!" Lyric chirped in happily as she watched Stephen stand up. "You can go ahead, I'll catch up to you! Just need to arrange my toys." The teenager nodded and he ran downstairs as requested.
As soon as she thought no one is in sight, Lyric slammed the door of her room and banged her head softly on the wooden surface.
"I can't leave them..." She whispered softly, her hand gripping on the doorknob like her life depended on it. "I can't leave them... They don't deserve to be sad when I die..."
Remembering every single moment she shared with her mother, of how she managed to raise her even if her husband died in an accident when Lyric was young, of how she kept everything lively and perfect, how every single moment was filled with laughter, and how proud she was to have such a woman to be her mother, Lyric felt as if her heart was clenched.
And Stephen... No words could describe how she loved him. How he came in just when she lost hope, how he unexpectedly crashed in through her window started everything, how he took care of her.
She doesn't want this to end. She wants more time with them. She wants to be with them forever.
Folding her hands to pray, she whispered quietly to God, hoping that even for once, her wish would be fulfilled.
"I want this this day to never end... I want it to repeat."
