Dear Jean,

Hey sis... I hope you're doing okay now and won't yell at me once you noticed I'm no longer here.

I know you'll be angry at me, but please listen.

I'm always hiding in my room, studying and not watching over you as your older brother. I never fought for you when kids picked on you for your disease, I never visit your school to see if you're fine. I'm the worst brother ever, but you still continue to stick by my side.

Instead of me being the shield of our family, you took my place. You fought for us, you worked to earn money for mom's medicines and whenever you hear my classmates whisper behind my back, you'll go to them and fight, sometimes resorting to violence.

I don't deserve to be your brother. I know im the worst. And its too late for me to tell you my apologies.

All of my stupidity and ignorance made my only sister suffer. I didn't even stop you from working.

So to atone for all of my sins...

I hereby donate my lungs and pancreas so you'll continue to live. I don't care if I die, I don't care if you're mad at me, I don't care if you'll call me a coward or an idiot like always.

You deserve to live. You have a bright future ahead of you.

Remember my bet with you I could make you cry?

I won.

But hey, don't cry. I'll still be alive within you. Haha, that sounds weird.

I'll live through you, a part of me will remain here while you continue to live.

After all a world without you is nothing. Please take care of Nanay.
