What Even Is This?

What's this? Something that's NOT about Black Mesa???

Yep, that's right, have a chapter where I talk about something other than Black Mesa- by which I mean I'm gonna talk about a different video game I recently finished that is also very good: The Talos Principle!

To be honest, I feel like there's not really a lot that I can say about this game without spoiling it? You're a robot and you solve puzzles, and that's just about all I can say without giving a crapton more context and completely ruining the story.

But I can say this: it is a very good story! Especially if you like working things out yourself, because it doesn't directly give you the story up until the very end.

Also, I know that like. At least two of the people who still read this book did very much enjoy the Portal series, so if you enjoyed that for the mechanics and puzzle solving, then you'll enjoy The Talos Principle. They work very similarly.

I also wanna point out the music, 'cuz how can you not like music like this:

Though, admittedly, most of the music is more... peaceful... than these two. These are endgame songs.

You know what? I'm also just gonna stick the game's launch trailer in here, because it makes the game sound better than I'm doing.

So yeah! Go play The Talos Principle!

... On a side note, Half-Life: Alyx came out recently, and  while I can't play it (I don't have the money for a VR rig) I am watching a playthrough of it, so you can expect some comments on it soonish.
