third person pov
Rory stared at the mirror to see a girl she didn't recognize. She usually wore a thick sweater, a t-shirt and jeans, but now she was dressed in nicer, not so warm clothes. She was wearing a black turtle neck, a black fur coat, some fishnet stockings, a short, tight skirt, and a pair of black heeled boots. Her makeup was also done more than usual and she knew why.
Whenever they went to meet a customer, Kailer would have her dress in her best clothes. He liked to show her off to everyone even if it meant she felt uncomfortable or in this case cold. She hated it, but the first time she had refused, he had yelled and hit her. When she agreed he had said sorry and she had taken the apology.
"You look pretty," Kailer told her when he entered the room.
"Thanks," she muttered softly before brushing her bangs so they looked okay. It felt unnatural. Everything about her did and she often questioned why. She didn't feel like herself, but she didn't know who she was.
Kailer has told her they had been together since high school and that she wasn't so nice, but she didn't want to be a mean person. Sure, she knew how to do a lot of things without remembering how she learned them, like using a knife for example, but she didn't know why she could do it or who taught her. But even if she could handle one well, she knew it couldn't have been to hurt anyone. She didn't want to hurt anyone, but Kailer would make her. She was like his puppet and it made her wonder why she every stayed with him. She should be able to make her own decisions.
"I'll be outside," Rory murmured about to leave the room, but Kailer stopped her.
"You forgot something."
Rory turned and saw him holding up her knife in her black leather holder that could be strapped to her thigh. His eyes weren't on her, but looking down at his expensive accessories. She walked back and pulled the knife from his grasp and pivoted.
"Thanks," she muttered, looking over her shoulder to say something else, but he was too caught up putting on his expensive watch and whatever expensive thing he could show off.
Nothing ever feels right with him, Rory thought as she walked down the dark halls of the place they were staying.

"This isn't a good idea. It could be a trap," Nongnong commented on the other side of Yanjun's phone screen.
"I agree," You Zhangjing added taking a bite of an apple. Yanjun ended up telling him what was going on since he was his best friend and he couldn't really get anything past him. Luckily, his big mouth hadn't said anything to anyone else yet.
"I need to go," Yanjun waved the two of them off. Daniel had whispered two words and a time to Yanjun leaving him confused, however, when he looked it up he found it was the name of a bar in the next town over. "Where's Kunkun?"
"On a date with Arian. He should be back in a couple minutes," Zhangjing shrugged his shoulders. Turns out, Xukun had a girlfriend since a while after Yanjun and Crimson started dating. Xukun met her online and they had a long distance relationship, but she moved there a couple month ago. "Are you sure-"
"It's Crimson. Wherever she goes, I go," Yanjun said with determination and found himself unconsciously touching the cold silver ring hanging around his neck.
He had to admit, he was a little scared. They went to the lengths of shooting the girl he loved and almost killed her. Instead of death she lost her memory and as much as he hated that she didn't remember him, he was happy it wasn't worse. He could have totally lost her.
"Hey," someone said as Yanjun heard a door opening on the other side of the phone. A couple seconds later, a blonde Xukun sat in view. "Hey, bro."
"Hey," Yanjun nodded before glancing out the window for Scarlett or Daniel only to find no one.
"Can you take us in with you just so we can see? I want to see jiejie," Nongnong asked shyly twiddling his thumbs. "How is she like? Is she different? Did she get taller?"
Yanjun thought about the past couple times he was able to see her and a soft smile slowly pulled into his soft lips.
"She's a little different, it's like a part of her is showing more than it did before. She looks a little different cause her hair and she has a scar on her head. She's really sweet and shy. It's easy to tell that she's nervous around me because she messes with her hair. She's adorable," Yanjun looked off in thought in the end, when he was finally aware, he noticed a group of people walking towards the doors. Three males and two females.
"Jun-ge? What's-"
"They're here," Yanjun announced.
