"Jiejie," Justin spoke, entering Scarlett's bedroom. She was sitting in her bed, staring at large unfolded papers with a red marker in her hand.

"Hmm," she hummed, looking up at him. He looked nervous for some reason, his hands were shaking a little and he ran a hand through his hair. He took a seat on the edge of her bed and looked over at what she was doing.

"Why do you have those maps," Justin furrowed his eyebrows, distracting himself. His eyes ran over the marks she made on the map and he tried to get a better view.

"Just marking places I've visited," she shrugged and grabbed the map before folding it up. Justin nodded as she grabbed the other one before doing the same and throwing them to the side. "What's up?"

"I..." Justin started and quickly stood from the bed. He wiped his clammy hands on his black pants as he turned to his older sister who watched him with an eyebrow raised. He cleared his throat and spoke quickly, "I'mgoingtoaskAnesthesiatobemygirlfriend."

"Say that again. I couldn't understand you," Scarlett shook her head and saw her brother hesitating. He slightly opened his mouth, but closed it to only do the action again.

"I-I-"

"I know, J. I'm just kidding," Scarlett giggled, standing to her feet. "When you going to ask her?"

"Well...I'm going to meet her right now," Justin scratched his arm. "Do I...Do I look okay?"

Scarlett's eyes moved over her little brother. His hair was done nicely and he was dressed in warm, nice clothes. It wasn't too dressy, but it also wasn't too boring.

"I don't think you need an ego boost, but you look very handsome," she nodded her head with a proud smile.

"Th-Thanks, Jiejie."

"What time are you meeting her," Scarlett asked and Justin checked the watch she had bought him.

"Thirty minutes at the coffee shop in the mall...can you drive me?"

Scarlett sat in her car, waiting for Justin to either come out or text her about the news with Anesthesia. She was parked around the corner from the coffee shop with the heat turned high. She drummed her fingers on the wheel of the car and quietly listened to the radio.

She was hoping that her brother wasn't freaking out too much and that Anesthesia would agree to be his girlfriend. She had met the girl a couple times and decided she would be more than perfect for her brother. The girl was smart, cute, shy, and very sweet. Scarlett liked the girl a lot and understood why her brother liked her so much.

Scarlett was humming along with the song that was playing until her phone rung. She picked it up from the drink holder and saw Justin's contact name on the screen. He sent a text.

We're going to hangout
for a while so I'll call you when
I need to be picked up??

When Scarlett was going to put her phone down, it rang again. A smile snuck its way into her face as she saw the name on the screen and she quickly fixed her hair before answering the FaceTime call.

"Why'd you change your name to Baby Daddy on my phone," Scarlett laughed when she saw his face. A pretty smile and a pair of dimples that made her heart flutter in her chest.

"Because you're having my kids."

"Yanjun! You didn't tell us she's pregnant!"

"Grandma, I'm not pregnant," Scarlett giggled when the woman showed up on the screen over Yanjun's shoulder.

"Hurry up and get to it. I want great grandchildren," the woman spoke and Scarlett burned red.

"Mom, they're still very young," Mrs. Lin said in the background. "We'll wait one more year!"

"Stop pressuring them," Grandpa spoke and Scarlett was about to thank him until he continued. "I want great grandchildren who don't care if it's raining and there's mud. Also teach them to play chess because Yanjun is horrible."

"No kidding," Scarlett snorted, but stopped when she felt Yanjun's eyes on her. She knew he was sending her a look and didn't want him to pout. "Don't pout, Babe."
