The Elevator Scene (Part 1): Inside Katniss's Head

Author's Note: THIS SCENE IS GOLD. It was kind of hard to follow in the book, but seeing it IN A MOVIE WAS PRICELESS!!!

I LAUGHED THE WHOLE TIME!!!

Here's what I imagine Katniss thinking:

I thought that I knew crazy but this girl puts the icing on the cake. FOR REAL. LIKE, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH HER!? WHY ARE HAYMITCH AND PEETA SO HAPPY!? [when Peeta agrees to unzip Johanna's clothes] OH, HELL NO! OKAY, I EXPECT THIS KIND OF BEHAVIOR FROM HAYMITCH, BUT NOT PEETA!!! I THOUGHT THAT PEETA WAS FULL OF GOODNESS AND SWEETNESS. I GUESS THAT THERE'S A LITTLE BIT OF DARKNESS INSIDE THAT HEAD OF HIS. DUDE, I'M GONNA GIVE HIM A PIECE OF MY MIND.

[As Johanna strips] I'm just gonna look away. Look away. Look away. This is disgusting.

[When Johanna walks away] I want to punch someone. Specifically Peeta. Or Haymitch.

Haymitch (speaking): Johanna Mason. District 7.

Katniss: Or Johanna.
