𝐌idnight adventures were familiar to Charles. Especially with you. Mostly having to retrieve students that attempted to wander the grounds past midnight.
"Come now, back to bed." Charles herded the youngest of the students back towards the dorms, while you handled the eldest of the students.
They whined most of the way, but eventually relented and returned to their rooms. Once the two of you were alone, you found Charles staring at you with a gentle smile.
"What?" His smile visibly widened, before he looked away from you. "What are you smiling at, Professor?"
You teased him with his professional title; it'd been a running joke between you two since he used to be your boss. But now, he considered you equals. Despite him being headmaster, and you a teacher.
"I'm simply remembering the times when we used to go on midnight adventures." Oh, of course. In the few months after you'd first met, Charles invited you out all the time to walk the grounds and see the stars.
"I remember that!" It was always a fond memory. Charles never failed to entertain, especially when either of you couldn't sleep. "Perhaps we can take another walk, if you're up for it?"
Charles, still wearing his giddy smile, held out his arm for you to take. "Your wish is my command, darling."
