Bout to get fluffy up in here y'all! With a confession~
Enjoy!))
Skating was something I wish I could share with Yuri, if only I wasn't so hopeless on the ice. It was like a curse- every time I stepped onto the icy surface, something broke or I ended up breaking myself.
That's why I liked to watch Yuri skate from a distance, for him I was a very supportive friend. Ugh that word...
Friend
I didn't want to be just the supportive friend anymore, I wanted to he more to him than that. I wanted to be the person by his side that tried to help him achieve anything he thought he couldn't. To be able to give him hope in the darkest of hours. 'I want that.' I thought to myself.
Yuri came off he ice and grabbed his drink bottle as he took a sip and sat down on the bench, facing me as I sat in the audience seats. "So, how was I today?" Yuri asked me, like he always did. I shrugged, "meh you were alright."
"Did you see me out there!? That was the hardest I've ever skated in a practice-" Before Yuri could continue I cut in, "it's a joke, Yuri, a joke. I didn't mean it, your skating was very good today." I giggled and smiled at him as I stepped down to his bench. A pout formed on Yuri's lips, making him look like a little child.
"That wasn't very nice (Y/N)." He mumbled and I shook my head. "Yuri you always ask me how you did, and I always say the same thing because you never do anything badly when you practice. You're perfection-"
I chocked before I could finish and saved myself, "you're a perfectionist." Yuri raised an eyebrow slightly but then nodded as he smiled at me warmly. "Thanks (Y/N), you always know just what to say don't you?" He asked as he gently bumped my shoulder as he walked past.
'Not in all cases I don't..' I thought to myself. Words weren't always my strongest side. I couldn't even remotely think of a way to tell Yuri I had feelings for him without the words spilling out and just sounded like a terrible jumble. 'Hey Yuri, I really hsjc jdocndnk...' I thought about the scenario and slapped my cheek to snap myself out of it.
Yuri looked over his shoulder and blinked dumbfounded. "Uh, you alright there?" He asked me and I mentally slapped myself for being so stupid. "Yeah sorry, I'm all good." I said as I rubbed the red mark on my cheek. Yuri didn't question it and just went to put his skates back.
I let out a sigh and grabbed my bag as I followed him quietly. "So...u-uh..." I took in a deep breath and spoke, "doyouwanttogogetsomecoffee?" Yuri looked at me for a moment before nodding and smiling, "yeah that sounds good! Just let me do some small things before we go."
My jaw dropped and I gulped. In the anime's when a character does that the other person always asks them what they said. Did Yuri have super sonic hearing or something? I blushed, feeling the heat rise off of my face all the way to my ears.
"Alright," Yuri began as he grabbed his coat, "lets go~"
- Time Skip -
We stepped into the coffee shop and placed our orders, the entire time I was a nervous wreck. If there could've been a time to back out I wanted that time to be now, but I think it's a bit late now. We payed and sat beside each other outside on a park bench.
The winter sun gently lit the bare trees, exposing their leaf-less branchless as the morning dew gently fell from them. Children played in a near by park while their parents watched and encouraged them. "You know it's weird." Yuri said suddenly, startling me. Luckily I managed not to burn my tongue on my drink.
"W-What's weird?" I asked him curiously as I placed my drink in my lap while I waited for him to answer. "You, you're weird." My jaw dropped in shock and then Yuri stammered, "w-weird in a g-good way!" He covered up and I sighed as I pulled my scarf over my neck a little more.
"W-Why's that then?" I questioned and Yuri leaned back on the bench, looking up at the sky in thought. "You always come to watch me skate, and your very supportive of me. Which I appreciate, we both know how I get sometimes...." I nodded in a modest agreement and he continued.
"Yet you still stay by my side, it's like your my unofficial girlfriend or something." Yuri chuckled and I instantly blushed, while thinking to myself. 'This is your chance!' I mentally shouted.
"Offical me make." I said outloud before palming myself in the face. Yuri sat forward and looked to me strangely. "Are you alright there?" He asked me and I sighed as I took in a breath in tried again, this time more slowly.
"Make-me-offical.....make me your offical girlfriend..." I told him and felt my cheeks instantly light up. "(Y/N) I-"
"I like you alright!" I shouted, possibly more louder than I needed to, "be my boyfriend!"Yuri's eyes widened and then softened as he chuckled and gently kissed my cheek as my blush intensified. "Of course I will~" He said to me contently, and then laughed as the parents and children of the near by playground started to clap for the both of us.
(( me: *joins the clapping randomly* Whatss goooood
