"(Y/N)-CHANNNNN!~~~" I spun around as I saw a bounding Minami run towards me and crash tackle me into a hug. His eyes filled with sparkles of happiness as he sobbed happily. I hit the ground and hugged Minami back tightly. "My little chicken nugget~" I called him and giggled as he sat back with a pout. "Yeah you never did give up that nickname." He stated and looked off to the side.
It had been 3 years since I had seen Minami last. I had missed him so much, it was very hard to be apart from such a bubbly guy who you saw daily. And then suddenly move to another country where everything is strange, and so exotic. Everything was different about it, and I didn't like it one bit.
So when my family had the opportunity to come back, none of us wanted to hesitate in the matter. The first person I wanted to see was Minami. And I was happy to see that he still had the Red streak of hair. Chicken nugget was the childhood nickname that I had always used for him, since his hair made it look that way.
"I'm glad that I get to see you everyday again, oh and by the way-" I paused and punched his shoulder and watched as he rubbed it with another pout. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE BECOMING A SKATER!" I shouted at him and he rubbed the back of his head. "I-It slipped my mind...?" He stuttered and smiled nervously.
I glared at him and sighed waving my hands. "Oh never mind, I was so proud to see you out on the ice in TV! You were amazing! I couldn't believe what I saw!" I explained to him and his face took place of a wide grin. "Thank you (Y/N)! Really! I'm glad that even though we were apart- you still managed to watch me even when you weren't with me." Minami blushed lightly and looked off to the side.
I giggled and stood up dusting myself off and then helping Minami up. "Come on, we can catch up over some coffee?" I asked and was answered with an enthusiastic nod from him in return.

"And then, he went skating across the rink! But he smashed his face into the barrier! I felt so bad for Yuri but it was kinda funny to watch happen also." Minami explained to me as I ate my muffin quietly. I swallowed and spoke. "Minami! Don't you think that is a bit mean to say?" I asked him with a giggle and then sipped some of my coffee.
Minami rubbed the back of his head and covered his mouth as he laughed. "Of course I don't mean it! I idolise Yuri-kun! But..." He trailed off for a moment and I put my hand to his wrist turning my head to look at him. "But?" I repeated and he sighed putting his hand onto mine and blushing. "But it wasn't the same without you being here to guide me." He admitted to me and I smiled at him happily.
"Oh chicken nugget. Did you miss me?" I asked him and he nodded slowly. "I was very lonely....I didn't have many friends after you left. But it wasn't like I had the guts to talk to anyone new anyhow..." Minami explained to me and I frowned slightly. "I am sorry I had to leave....it wasn't my choice-" Minami held up his hand and shook his head. "I'm not blaming you or anything. I was just saying what had happened while you had gone."
We sat in each other's company for the rest of the day, telling each other of our experiences while we had been away from each other. It was nice to be able to talk to Minami like this especially when we got into a deep conversation and always seemed to lose track of time.
I looked down at my watch and laughed. "Wow! It is getting pretty late Minami! We best be going." I told him and he nodded standing up. "I'll walk you home, like I always used to." He sad with a cheeky grin.
I linked arms with him and began to walk with towards my house. I was happy that I got to come back here and see him again. I was glad to see that nothing about him had changed either.
As we walked towards my house we came across a little bridge that was built above the little creek that ran through the town. I stopped and looked out over the water, alongside the creek were cherry blossoms, all blooming proudly and looking more beautiful than I remembered them to look.
I leant against the stone bridge and sighed. "It's beautiful..." I said quietly and Minami copied my pose. He sighed as well. "Yeah it is...." He said dreamily and I giggled to myself quietly. After a few minutes of standing there and watching, Minami spoke up.
"Remember when you said that nothing has changed about me (Y/N)? He asked me and I looked to him nodding slowly. "Yeah, what about it?" I asked him and he fidgeted with his hands for a moment and then looking down at the water.
"W-Well.....you were wrong." He told me and I turned my head curiously towards him. "What do you mean?" I asked and he sighed in annoyance. "What I'm trying to say is that....well something has changed about me." He said and I stood up looking at him with worry. "Are you alright Minami?" I questioned and he suddenly grabbed my hand in his holding it tightly.
"What had changed about me are my feelings toward you! They have grown stronger than I ever thought they could!" He said excitedly and I blinked with a small blush across my cheeks. Minami took a deep breath and looked me in the eyes.
"(Y/N), will you be my girlfriend?" He asked and I smiled widely, leaping at him into a hug as I kissed his cheek repeatedly. "Of course I will you precious chicken nugget!" I told him and giggle happily.
