I walked through town, my bag clutched to my shoulder as I turned a corner. I was on the look for someone, someone very special to me.

I had moved away when I was 10, my only hope was that he still remembered me for who I was. I poked my head into the ice rink, walking through and looking at all of the skaters faces.

There it was, the one that I knew I would recognise....Otabek...

In our childhood, we were both there for each other no matter what, I had lost touch with him. Not intentionally of course, I had moved house once again, and lost his address location as he had lost mine.

I walked over to the entry and waved out to Otabek. "Otabek!" I called out to him and he turned around, his hands causally sitting in his pockets. His eyes widened ever so slightly before he skated over to me, standing before me with his hands still comfortably in his pockets. "....(Y/N?) He asked me and I nodded, smiling widely with a slight blush.

"I'm so glad that I get to see you again! I decided to move back here and I thought I'd come and see you first!"
As I explained, Otabek's face slowly dropped more than it already was. "I have training." He stated firmly and I stuttered for a moment before nodding with another smile. "O-Oh, yes of course. Go ahead." I told him and watched as he skated back over to his coach.

I clutched my hands within one another and moved out of the room, sitting at the benches outside the ice rink. I thought that I would wait for Otabek seeing as he was training and all.

I had noticed things that have changed about him, his hair, his eyes even his voice had changed. When he saw me, in his eyes when I looked at them I felt like a complete stranger to him. His expression looked dull, like he hardly cared.

I sat back and raised my scarf over my mouth as it slowly began to snow. Our childhood had been so perfect, so at what stage did he change?

                    -Flash Back-
"You can't even stand up on the ice!" "Proves how good you are!"
"I bet you couldn't even step without falling down."

Everyone teased me, everyone except one. Otabek Atlin. He was a very tall boy for the age of 8, but he had a very soft sounding voice...and the only one who stood up for me.

"She is new, and if you don't stop teasing her I'll tell the coach and get you kicked out!" He shouted at them, making them skate away fearfully. I sighed and gently rubbed my eyes as he leant down his hand to me. I grabbed his warm hand and lifted myself up off of the ice. "Don't listen to them. You just need to practice." Otabek told me and I sighed.

"What is the point? I'm always going to fall down!-" I started, but was cut off by Otabek. "If you fall down, just get back up." He told me and began to gently pull me around in the ice with him.

-Present-

Those were the days where everything seemed more simple, although I knew I couldn't depend on others, I didn't mind depending on one. Because that one was different then the rest of them, he cared for me.

I opened my eyes as a person walked out of the rink, his hood up over his head. "Otabek?" I asked softly and the person stopped, turning around and looking down at me. I recognised his eyes anywhere.

I stood up and faced him with a smile. "Maybe I'll get to talk to you now huh?" I asked him jokingly and let out a quiet giggle. Otabek kept his same monotonal face as I smiled at him. Without a word he turned away and began walking through the snow, his training bag in hand.

I took a few steps towards him through the snow. When I saw he wasn't going to stop for me, I stood in my place and looked down at the ground. "W-Why are you treating me like t-this...?" I asked him and he stoped a few meters away from me and turned his head slightly.

"The only reason I came back was because I was desperate to see you, but was it really all worth it? Was it worth being ignored and rejected?" I asked him. Hot tears fell from my eyes and down my cheek, a soft steam-like fog rose off its running droplet and followed it as it hit the cold-fresh snow.

Otabek turned all the way around. "Do you really think that I would ignore you? Wanna talk about ignoring? What about when you ignored my letters for all of those years?" He spat at me and I froze, lifting my head to meet his narrowing gaze.

"I moved house- AGAIN -and lost your contact. It wasn't my fault, and it wasn't yours. But you should've known that I wouldn't have done something like that to you." I said and looked to the side with my arms crossed.

Otabek blinked for a moment and then rubbed the back of his head. "So you didn't purposely ignore me?" He asked me and I shook my head harshly at him. "Of course I wouldn't!" I told him and listened to his sigh as he took a couple of steps towards me.

I looked up at him, he stood above me and put a hand to my neck, gently leaning down and kissing my lips tenderly. I blinked by his sudden gesture, my eyes softened and I smiled into the kiss gently.

Otabek pulled away and looked at me shaking his head. "All these years I thought you had moved on from me.." he told me quietly and I shook my head slowly. "Oh course I wouldn't, I thought you would've came to some conclusion, well a conclusion that is the right one." I joked and he shook his head once again in frustration, but with a smile. "I'm glad that you are back..." He told me gently and we embraced silently admits the cold snow.
