Lapis x calm Ruby! Reader

(Your pov) I know I update late at night. And since its summer for me that's when I'm most active and creative. Weird right?

After landing on Earth, I was captured by a beautiful water gem. She's so pretty in fact, that any other pretty gem can walk up and I wouldn't even notice. But the problem is, she enjoys the company of another gem, a Peridot, yet this Peridot wants to help me.
"Hey (Y/N)," Peridot says hello to me and I wave through the water bubble. "So what are you up to today?" She asks and I shrug. "Wait. I'll be right back!" She says and runs off. Soon she comes back and I'm released from my bubble, landing on my face. "Sorry about that!" Peridot says and I get up. "No it's okay!" Peridot pauses for a second. "Your not as angry as other Rubies. May I ask why?" You thought for a minute. "I'm actually not sure why. Most call me defective, but I don't mind!"
"So you want Lapis's attention right?" Peridot quickly changed the subject and I nod. "Then let's make a card!" She says and I look at her confused. "What's a card?" I ask and she looks at me, realizing I'm from HomeWorld. "Oh! Well a card is when you fold a piece of paper and then you express your feelings! It's like a letter, which only expresses your feelings without the drawing. I think you have fun making it!" She grabs a piece of paper and a color device. "What's that?" I ask pointing to it. "It's a crayon! You write and draw with it!" Periods hands me the crayon as she folds the card. "What do you want to draw on the front?" She asks as I think. I remember her collecting leaves. "A leaf!" I say I grab one and I look at it as I draw. It turned out pretty well for my first attempt at drawing.
Next Peridot asked me a few questions and then wrote the inside of the card, putting my name at the end. "Now you go give it to her!" She exclaims and I secretly put the leaf I used in the card. I nod and I search around to find her. Soon, she finds me, thinking I was trying to escape. "And where do you think your going?" She asked and I turned to face her. "This is for you!" I say as I hand it to her. She's about twice me size but that doesn't mean anything to me. After she takes it, she puts me back in a bubble and walks away. Presumably to go read it.
She comes back with the card in pieces and I sigh. She probably didn't even read it. I mean I'm just a Ruby... right? Slowly I start to feel what every Ruby should feel, anger, the water starts to bubble and both of the gems that belong in their barn look out to see me boiling her water bubble. They start to talk to each other until Peridot flips out and Lapis flies away.
My bubble slowly disappears until I fall on the ground, and there I cry. Peridot hesitantly came over and gave me a small pat on the back. "She didn't know (Y/N). I'm sure if we make another one-" "I don't wanna make another one!" I interrupt her and she nods. "I know what your feeling. She did this to me too. I promise that one day, she'll be comfortable with you. She wasn't with me at first. I'm the one who basically dragged her back here," she looked away from me but then had an idea. "I have an idea on what to do! I'll take you to go see Garnet! She'll know what to do!" Peridot took my by the wrist as she dragged me to a warp pad and then suddenly we were in a house.
"Steven!" Peridot called out. A human boy came running down from some stairs. "Peri! Woah! Who's that?" The boy asked and Peridot spoke. "This is (Y/N). She's a Ruby and she's having Lapis trouble," I nod in agreement from what she said and the boy gasped. "Have you tried a card?" I nod. "A gift?" I nod again. "Hmm. Have you tired to talk to her?" He asked and I thought for a minute. "I don't think so. She normally keeps me in a water bubble," I say and the boy named Steven thinks. " Garnet should know what to do!" Peridot nods. "That's what I was thinking!" As Peridot and Steven wait for their friend Garnet. I sit in one of the chairs until Lapis came though the warp pad. She grabbed me harshly and then we went to the barn. I tried to act as angry as I could but it honestly I wasn't that angry until I thought of the ripped up card. "Well your a bit more spicy than usual," she comments and I don't say anything back. "Don't think I didn't read the card. Because I did," She says and I look at her. "But I had to know if you were serious or if you were just being a sneaky HomeWorld spy. That's why the card was ripped. But I did keep the leaf. Thank you for that," She says as she hugs me.
Lapis gives me a kiss on the cheek and I felt myself light up.
