Third person's POV"She did what?"
"She hurt your sister, you idiot!" You yelled, infuriated by his apparent obliviousness.
He turned his head to you, his expression uncertain.
"Saki hurt Himawari?" he asked, still struggling to believe it. The person he trusted, loved, and adored had hurt his innocent little sister?
You sighed and approached him, firmly gripping his wrist. Your eyes bore into his, refusing to let him go.
"I'm serious, Uzumaki! That girl is a psychopath and an abuser!"
Boruto felt like your gaze was piercing his soul. He didn't move from his spot and remained silent.
"Please... Himawari needs you."
Silence hung heavy in the air. You continued to stare at him, and he stared back at you. To your surprise, he smiled faintly.
"...I'm coming," he finally said, making you smile. You were about to head back when the school bell rang, leaving you exasperated.
"Why?" you exclaimed in disbelief. Boruto chuckled.
-
"Did you talk to him?" Sasuke inquired. You shrugged, struggling to explain.
"Well, kinda..."
"What do you mean by 'kinda'?" he pressed further. You let out a sigh in defeat.
"I told him what Saki did to Himawari..."
Sasuke crossed his arms, tilting his head to study your expression. "So, in other words, you had to tell him that his little sister needs him, even though he should have realized it himself?"
"Yep..." You sighed again.
"Okay. I don't trust that 'burrito' anyway."
Grinning at the nickname, you recalled the time you and your brothers went out for burritos and learned that Sasuke disliked them.
"Burrito... what a funny nickname," you commented.
"Yep, little baby brat," Sasuke smirked lightly.
"Shut up!" you scolded.
Himawari looked at her brother, feeling a mix of emotions. She wanted to talk to him so badly, but Saki had positioned herself beside him, making it difficult for Himawari to approach.
-
"Himawari, I'm going to pick up Tenten," you informed her, and she nodded. Sasuke, always vigilant, followed you as usual.
"Where is that 'Burrito'?" he asked, clearly annoyed, tapping your shoulder.
"I dunno... and emo, calm yourself! You look like a... tomato," you muttered, noticing that his face turned red in anger.
"Thank you for the lovely compliment," Sasuke retorted, sounding irked.
You gulped and apologized. After entering the teacher's office, you saw the math teacher waiting with Tenten, who was busy drawing. You greeted her with a warm smile.
"Onee!"
You lifted Tenten onto your shoulder, and she handed you her drawing with a wide grin.
"For you!" she exclaimed, radiating joy.
You smiled and accepted the drawing. It depicted you and Boruto playing with her football. You were deeply touched. When had a child ever drawn something for you?
