No Longer Dark, But Still Not Light (Part 2)

I think this whole story is just going to move at an uncomfortable and fast pace, but! The more I practice the better I'll get so stay tuned for that I guess
also again, thank you so much to everyone who's stuck around even with my late schedule/updates sometime life and even mental illness gets in the way making it hard to do the things I love, which is why I honestly and truly am so super glad for everyone who's stuck around and read this far, you don't even know what it means to me! Especially because I lost a lot of readers between the last few chapters, so again, seriously thank you so much! I hope you all have very awesome and blessed life! (Days just seem so short you know?)
Also! I'm thinking a few more chapters! You guys up for it? 

He stays late, discreetly giving away free rounds to those who defended him. If they notice and give it back in tips he doesn't care. He has money, doesn't spend it on much. Spends his time at work or at the gym, not one for the simple things in life, just the necessary ones. He locks up and leaves feeling a buzz in his bones and a warmth in his cheeks. The air is brisk and cool, it's nothing compared to the cold planet he spent many of his days on though. The thought of Starkiller cause a slight trip in his step. He turns his thoughts to something else completely. The first Order is exactly the last thing he wants to think about. So he doesn't. Ever. Think about the First Order. Of the people he left behind, the responsibility or the master or the fiery redheaded generals.

He doesn't want to think that the life he built for himself could slip so easily from him again. So he doesn't.

So instead he thinks on Rey, how she looked. He looked down at the ground, his home not far off from where he works. It's only a quick walk, he's big enough that no one bothers him so it's not a problem walking alone. Then he sees her huddled up shivering in an alleyway. It's slick with rainwater and and he can already see a few roaches next to the garbage she's sitting next to.

"Rey"

She startles and gets up on her feet immeditly.

"You can't stay out here by yourself. Get inside"

"Why? Nothing out here can be worse then you"

"Not that I actually care, but you will when the people high on spice come out of hiding. Not they're really trying all to hard to stay hidden before nightfall. Still, it's unsafe for someone like you out here"

"Someone like me?"

Kylo starts walking again. He knows she's going to follow him, so hey throws "Untrained" over his shoulder and continues on.

"Hey!" The pitter patter of feet splashing in the puddles is what he hears next.

"It's obvious actually. The way you held the saber to my neck, it's the same way you tried to fight me in the forest. Luke hasn't taught you anything"

"Luke has taught me lots of things!"

"Like meditation and moving rocks, that sounds helpful. Really, well done"

"Like you could have done any better"

"Yeah teaching you the lightsaber forms and tools you can use to actually aid yourself would have been so much worse"

He opens the lock on his door, stepping inside after giving a nod to the old man. Rey, is to distracted to notice where she is, but at least he doesn't have to worry about her getting hurt. They might not be on great terms (on her side) but he'd rather see her safe then cut into bits the next morning.

She steps inside right after him. Continuing to rant about his uncle and training and how he doesn't know anything. So Kylo throws his keys in the bowl, and starts his routine. He picks up the watering can and starts watering the small plants that line his window seals. They're small succulents, and beautiful green moss piles. Small easy to take care of plants. He might not outwardly enjoy taking care of them, might even protest receiving them, but being the giver of like instead of harbinger of death is a nice change.
