'I kissed the wrong person on news years' au

Rey has only had a crush on one of her best friends for about 4 years now. Which is not cool at all because his mop of black curly hair and bright white smile is something she will never be able to obtain. Poe will never want her and she knows this. She knows it so well because the same looks she gives Poe are the same ones Poe gives Finn. Which means tonight she's going to be stupid, because 4 years of pinning for that man has truly been a nightmare. Watching him pine over Finn while she pines over him, how trashy. It's like some stupid romance novel that she hates reading even thought she reads them like mice on cheese. Which as she will probably never admit is where she got this particular idea. If Poe never wanted to talk to her after this again, well she could at least say she tried.

The countdown was already going down. She needed to find him quickly, The seconds count down and she can't find him, panic is starting to set in. Around the half minuet mark is when she really starts to worry, furiously pushing the people out of her way in the dark environment. The ten seconds timer begins as soon as she sees the dark thick curls of her target. She rushes through throngs of people, pushing her way through body after body. She reaches him within seconds, and just as the ball drops, she pulls her target around and slams her lips on his. The kiss is just as good as she wants it to be, if not better. The only problem is, when she finally pulls away from him, it's not Poe looking down on her. It's someone else with dark curls and a bright smile.

And she might just have gotten over Poe.

'we're stuck in a log cabin overnight during a snowstorm bc of some stupid school team building exercise and it's freEzing and I can't sleep and you can hear me shivering in the next bed so you pick me up land dump in your bed and good grief you are hot in every sense of the word' au

It's the teeth chattering he hears first. The shivering isn't hidden well under the blanket at all. It's the third night that this has gone on. It would have been fine if he wasn't a terribly light sleeper and the chattering kept him up. It also would have been fine if Rey, who was the only other person capable of keeping up with him during the races, wasn't suffering from it as well. The dark circles around her eyes and the general almost falling asleep around the campus was starting to get annoying. Winning wasn't fun anymore without some competition. Even if that competition beats him 90% of the time. The fact that for the first time in his life he actually had to try, was actually more pleasing then one would think. This is the third night in a row like this, and they only have a week left of this force awful training camp. So if something was going to happen it was going to happen now. Kylo wouldn't let himself win only for the soul fact that his competition was so cold they couldn't sleep. Or at least that was the nice way of saying that it was annoying him and he was quite sick of it and was going to fix it by any means necessary so he could feel better about himself.

Kylo gets out of the bunk that is already way to small for his huge frame. Picks up the shivering body of the girl next to him, and carefully drops her in a heap on his bed before sliding in next to her. Rey's surprise and the immediately need to get away was pushed away when a warm chest fit up against her back. It warmed her almost instantly. He was worried she would actually protest at least once or twice, maybe get mad at him enough to actually yell at him and accidentally wake up everyone else. It's not that he actually cares what any of these other losers think, more so it would just be another annoyance he probably wouldn't be mad at Rey over. Instead any protest he thought she might have died almost immeditly, bringing soft snores. That was almost more annoying then the shivering and the chattering but the warmth was more comforting then the sound was annoying. Maybe running when you had barely slept 4 shaky hours was not a good idea. Maybe constant exercise was not a good idea. So honestly when she inevitably wins the race on Saturday he only has himself to blame, or to thank. He hasn't decided yet. Either way, he still needed to make sure he slept. So he clings tight and lets the warmth of her body drift him off to sleep.
