Looking for a new thing to fan over after your favorite show's finished? Just completed a book series and have a case of the done-book blues? Well, look no further, as here are my favorite obscure fandoms that will fill that hole in your heart.

1. Star Wars: Rebels

Now, I know what you're thinking. 'Isn't that just another Star Wars thing?' Yeah, it is, but Rebels is honestly the best thing that's ever happened to Star Wars, so allow me to persuade you to go watch it right now.

Starting on the planet of Lothal, a small and mainly unnoticeable group of rebels is causing havoc for the Empire. The group includes Kanan, a secret Jedi who barely escaped Order 66 and is as good with a blaster as he is with a lightsaber, their pilot Hera, a gorgeous Twi'lek with some sick flying skills and some epic leadership qualities, Sabine, a street artist/Stormtrooper trainee/bounty hunter who loves explosives, Zeb, one of the last of his kind and a mad shot with his gun, and the mandatory annoying droid, Chopper. When Ezra Bridger, a street rat who lives off thievery, bumps into the group, history will be made as he becomes a Jedi and the Lothal rebels begin doing big things.

The characters are fantastic, the storylines are excellent, and the show includes lots of our favorites from Clone Wars, like Ashoka and Captain Rex. Oh yes, and Kanan and Hera? Totally in love with each other. It's adorable.

New Rebels episodes release on Disney XD Wednesdays for America, and Saturdays for the UK. There's also this site, which has all the episodes and uploads every Friday. Copy/paste this into your searchbar and prepare to fall down into a rabbit hole of epic. http://kisscartoon.me/Cartoon/Star-Wars-Rebels

2. Invader Zim

You might have heard of this show- about ten years ago, it was a huge thing. But you've probably never watched it, and let me tell you, your life is not complete without some Zim in it.

It's an unknown time, probably in the future (slightly), and far, far away from Earth, a dysfunctional alien race known as the Irkens are starting their Operation: Impending Doom 2, where they try to take over the universe. The first one didn't go so well.

Enter Zim, a egotistical Irken with a penchant for invasion. He ruined Operation: Impending Doom 1, and as a result, was banished, but that didn't stop him from annoying the Tallest (yup, their leaders are simply the tallest of their species) into sending him on a 'secret mission' to a planet you might know pretty well: Earth. Add a malfunctioning robot minion, some weird disguises, a kid obsessed with the paranormal and plenty of rubber piggies, and hilarity ensues.

Created by the person who made Super Meat Boy, this show is similarly quite dark at times, with a whole episode about Zim stealing people's organs. But even through the immense creepiness that (spoiler alert) got it canceled halfway through its second season, there's enough pure silliness in this show to keep you entertained throughout the whole thing. Plus, there's GIR. Best.

Invader Zim ended many years ago, but you can find all of the episodes here: http://kisscartoon.me/Cartoon/Invader-ZIM

3. Howl's Moving Castle

I know, I know, you've probably heard of this, and maybe even seen the fantastic Studio Ghibli movie. But let me tell you that you need to take a step back and read Diana Wynne Jones's epic trilogy that inspired the whole thing.

Sophie Hatter is an apprentice in a hat shop after her father died, leaving her, her stepmother and her sisters Lettie and Martha to be apprenticed. After May Day, the spiteful Witch of the Waste walks in and turns Sophie old. Ungrateful, right? However, the stubborn girl soon finds herself in the (moving) castle of the feared Wizard Howl, and both hilarity and startling truths emerge as Sophie finds who she really is (and has to deal with wizard tantrums in the process).
