Part 111. Yellow Vs. The Black Clover

Virginia Sawyer stood up to face down her opponent and carefully observed him while Charizard joined up with her and assisted her to stand at attention. Her brown eyes and auburn pigtails briskly swayed from the wind as the ash fell from the consuming flame. Her eyes narrowed while Yellow's furrowed brown eyes met hers.

"Hmph, you're too cute; no wonder Leaf took such a liking to you at the beginning of her adventure, such a fickle thing friendship is."

"You don't know anything Virginia," assured Yellow as he held a tight grip on the Poké Ball that dangled from the top of the fishing rod.

"Don't I?" Queried Virginia with a squeaky but confident voice. "She was the one that rescued me and helped me to become the person I am."

"Leaf would never allow it, you could've gone with us, instead you let fear guide you down the wrong path."

"I chose to stay with Hanz because he realized how pathetic and weak I really was and lets not kid ourselves. Weakness is the reason we try so desperately to cling to survival. Charizard, Flamethrower attack."

The lizard engulfed air from within and blew out a tornado of flame directly toward Yellow as he and Dodo desperately jumped out of the way from the oncoming attack. Unfortunately, a large group of Kangaskhan that had met the fate of that flame burned to a crisp and slowly fainted from the massive injury inflicted upon them. At the same time, the ignition consumed the wall and the tower that once held the Rocket Grunts in place. Many of the Grunts fled from the devastation inflicted by Virginia's potent attack.

"Tch, Dodo Quick Attack now!"

Dodo obeyed my friend Yellow with zeal, and as each of their heads trotted up and down after the large lizard creature, their leaders made an impact against the abdomen of the beast, and Charizard was pushed back from the brunt of their heads. To regain lost momentum, Charizard used his wings to steady the push from the force of the tackle and maneuvered back toward the ground.

"You decided on your own survival instead of help from your own friends!"

"Charizard Mega Punch!"

The lizard released a massive breath of fire and used his arm for a right hook punch toward the middle head of Dodo! The force from that move was so severe that Dodo flew back towards the tent on fire and collided against the structure as it fell straight on top of him.

"Dodo," shouted Yellow with a look of absolute terror across his face.

He valued that Pokémon, and seeing him trounced, especially to the loyalty of the Black Clover, was a massive blow to him.

"I value my friends, its just I value my survival more." She grinned.

"Dodo return." Declared Yellow after sensing the poor Dodo's voice hurt by the flames. "I'm sorry buddy, I should have been more careful."

He was right to be able to put his Pokémon before the battle; things were getting dangerous, and Black Clover was showing no remorse when it came to using brute tactics and staving off her enemies. But Yellow needed to think of another strategy. His Pokémon remained confident in his choice, but he needed to use a move that would prove helpful in taking on her entire party. The boy pulled back his pole and swung it to release another Pokémon onto the field. This one was familiar and known as Raticate, whom he named 'Rascal.'

"Rascal come on out!" He shouted.

The Pokémon happily jittered out of the ball with a loud snarl and faced down the Charizard with a wave of fiery anger from losing his friend Dodo.

"Hyper-Fang! Aim for the neck!"

"Diiiieeerer! Squeaked the giant rat as he jolted after the Charizard with massive, quickened speed.
