Revelation 3:20
NIV: Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
NLV: See! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and we will eat together.
Meaning: Acceptance. It's something that can make us feel welcome, feel like we belong to something or are a part of something! But just imagine how fantastic it is to be accepted by God! God loves each one of you and no matter what you've done in the past, he is always wanting to accept you, adopt you as his child! If anyone knocks on his door, believes that Jesus died for them, God welcomes you with open arms to his family.:) The book of Revelation was written by John... He was writing this to Christians who were being persecuted at the time and this was a vision given to John describing heaven. As a Christian being tortured for your faith, I can only imagine how much of a relief and more an encouragement these words would have been to them.... to encourage them to keep spreading Gods love to those people who haven't heard it, cause the door is always open for everyone.
Take Action! If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you know that you have also excepted the gift of eternal life. If you haven't made that decision, it's never to late to be forgiven and change! All you have to do is knock and seek, and the door to a relationship with Christ will be opened! You can be part of God's family!
How's was everyone's weekend going? Megan, Taylor a bunch of others friends and I went out to celebrate Taylor's birthday (coming up next week!:) tonight so that was a lot of fun :)
