"J-Jung Hwan?" you choked on your hot chocolate.
"Yea... Do you know him?" Minah asked, eyeing you suspiciously.
"N-no..." you mumbled, dropping your heead before lifting again. "Lee Jung Hwan?"
"Yep, he's transferring here. What if he's really as handsome as the rumours?" Minah squealed with other girls.
You did not hear it since you were in a daze, remembering what happened few years ago.
"I'll be back." Jung Hwan assured you, releasing your hand.
You watched him run off the lane without any guarantee that he would return. You had to leave the countryside in just few minutes with your new family who just adopted you. But he just ran off, leaving you alone.
Jung Hwan smiled when he finally found the bouquet of flowers under his bed which he collected from the gardens. He quickly picked himself up and ran back to where you were. But of course, you had left already.
"________..." Jung Hwan stammered in shock.
"________!" he yelled when he dashed the room you shared with hundreds other girls but there were no sightings of you.
But it was empty. You really left him. His body trembled in disappointment as he sank down to the floor, letting tears fall.
But that was years ago when you two were still orphans. You slammed your hands on the table and ran away as the girls stared at you weirdly in shock.
You ran down the quiet corridor to the washroom, tears welling in your eyes the more you thought of the past.
Without looking in front, you bumped into someone, only to ignore and run away.
"Yah! How dare you!" Sandeul said in a hurtless way and grabbed your arm.
You paused and let yourself be pulled back, not meeting the eyes of a stranger, or was he really a stranger?
Sandeul's face fell when he saw your face. You slowly raised your head and gasped silently. You stepped back as he tightened his grip on your arm.
"________?" Sandeul croaked.
You fluttered your eyes at him as he stared at you blankly. You chuckled and wrapped your arms around him. Sandeul gasped but smiled as he hugged you back.
