You walked down the narrow road along with those private housings by the side with Lay, your bestfriend. You had your head held low all the time while Lay kept stealing glances at you. This time, you caught him. You tilted your head to a side, puzzled.
"Yah, what are you looking at?" you asked, starting to fidget with your face. "Do I have anythinn on my face?"
"Ani... It's just that...that..."
You gave him a puzzled look again as you narrowed your eyes at him.
"You're cuter than I thought." Lay chuckled as you thought you saw a hint of red on his dimpled cheeks.
You chuckled along and blushed yourself. "Yea, yea, I thought you'll say something else."
Lay stopped laughing and stared at you.
"You'll be like, I never knew you look so much like a monkey." you imitated. "Ha!"
Lay's face fell as he narrowed his eyes sternly at you. "Do I sound that mean?"
You bit yout lips and nodded innocently. Lay scoffed and tried to ruffled your hair but you back off. You two kept on squabbling along the way jntil you reached his house.
Lay atared at you when you continued walking instead of stopping outside his house.
"Yah, don't you want to come in?" Lay asked, staring at you blankly.
"Uh... Ani..." you mumbled, hesitating.
Lay raised an eyebrow at you suspiciously as he approached you. He bent down to match your height but you kept avoiding those eyes which could easily suck you in.
"Yah, what's wrong? Are you hiding anything from me?" Lay asked, squinting his eyes.
"A-ani... Why would I hide anything?" you mumble nervously. "You're my bestfriend.
"Not anymore." Lay snapped and pulled back and walked away.
You gasped and raised your head in idsbelief. Did he meant to break all ties with you?
"O-oppa..." you sobbed.
Lay turned to find tears welling up in your eyes. His heart softened and smiled.
"Cause we're gonna be a couple." Lay said, smirking.
Your lips parted in shock. "C-couple?"
"Yea, ________-ah, listen properly." Lay smiled as he pressed his hands on your shoulders.
You nodded innocently and stared into his eyes.
"I love you, ________, I love you." Lay smirked.
With that, he leaned forward to kiss you. Your eyes fluttered in disbelief. No way was your bestfriend kissing you. He love you, Lay, your bestfriend love you. You gasped silently when it was no longer an innocent and gentle kiss.
Lay was forcing his tongue in for entrance. You slowly closed your eyes as teardrops trickled down your bright red cheeks. You responded to the kiss, knowing that it would be the first, and the last.

Lay headed to your house the next morning to walk to school together as usual. But he noticed something wrong. The house, it was empty. The laundry hung withint the gate outside was gone. The house felt so cold and still.
Just then, a guy stepped beside him. Lay felt tears rushing to his eyes as he raised his head to face the mysterious guy.
"May I know who you are..."
"I'm Lay, may I know where's the previous family who lived here?" Lay asked, frantic.
"Oh, they moved away last night, so I'm moving in today." the guy smiled warmly. "Why--"
"Did they say where they are going?" Lay asked anxiously, his voice trembling.
"Oh... I think they planned to go to...London." the guy saud, nodding.
Lay felt his world being shattered apart as more tears wet his face.
"And Mrs Park said that she has to bring her daughter to London because..." the guy hesitated.
"Because of what?!" Lay roared impatiently.
"Because...she needs to receuve treatment to cure her brain cancer." the guy said disappointedly.
Lay felt his heart being pierced by thousands of arrows. He fell back on the wall and yelled to release all his disappointment and anger.
"Why... Why did you leave me... I love you... You love me, didn't you... And we could have shared the pain together... I don't mind even if there's limited time... I don't... Just don't leave me..."
