Chapter 38

"Mommy" Amunet says jumping on the bed "Uncle Silver is here!", Ruby looks at the girl and sighs "Fine I'll go" she says getting up, she stops when she enters the throne room though "Don't pass out" Silver says quickly rushing to his sister "But how?" she asks "Well your evil half knocked you out, took control and revived him, also I haven't said anything about these two yet" Silver says "Great, throw that on me too" Ruby mumbles peeking behind her brother "How? No one has enough magic to pull that off" "Yeah... your evil half didn't survive, but on the bright side you can stop sulking in your room" "Mommy!" Junior says hugging her leg "Aunt Mana is mean" "Why are you soaking wet?" Ruby asks kneeling down "She was chasing me around cause I didn't wanna take a bath" he says "I love baths!" Amunet says, Ra Junior looked a lot like Atem, but Amunet obviously took his personality "Ruby" Atem says walking over, but Silver stops him "Let her for a moment, you died, that was pretty hard on her" he says. Atem watched Ruby quietly while she talks with the kids "Speaking of baths" she says and she grabs Junior before he can run off "Take the other one to the garden of something" she says as she walks off.

That evening Ruby is sitting on the bed quietly when Atem walks in "Those two are too energetic" he comments "Can't blame them, we weren't the calmest kids either" Ruby deadpans, not looking up at him "When were you going to tell me?" he asks "Don't know, I mean you disappeared, then you died. What was I suppose to tell you? 'Hey, I know you went through hell and back, but you have two kids now'?" she asks as tears start to fall down "The only reason I didn't spend the entire time in my room is so Bella wouldn't say a word to Silver". She's pulled into a hug and Mana knocks before going in "Ra junior isn't feeling good, again" "I see" Ruby says "Can't be helped, but I'll take him to the doctor" "And Amunet wants a bedtime story from her father" Mana adds before leaving the room quickly.

Evelyn and Bella look at Ruby "There's a reason twins are rare" Evelyn says "I know, the weakest most likely dies" Ruby points out "There's no room for another sun god" Bella explains "He can't get his full magic with you and your dad around" "We have trouble" Silver says "Seth is alive and back with an army". "I have to get Amunet, she's going to be a target" Ruby says.

They think of a plan and Opal comes with the craziest most dangerous idea they ever heard "We can send someone to the past and prevent Seth from ever going 'missing'" she says "I know how to manipulate the portal to get someone there" "We don't have much time, we need to get the kids somewhere save first" Silver says "I'll go" Summer says "If something goes wrong you will sense it".

Ruby meets Sapphire, Seto, Sakura and Jack at the portal "Take Amunet to Domino. Junior needs to go to Evelyn's time" "Why there? No one will believe we're gods" Jack says taking the sleeping boy from Ruby while Seto takes his niece "They will have dreams off Egypt, of this place. Tell them it's just that, a dream. More importantly, watch them at all times" "We will fix this" Summer says, once Sakura, Jack, Seto and Sapphire leave Ruby hands the book of gods to Summer "She has to go" Opal says "One more thing" Ruby says handing her friend a medical file, her mother's medical file to be precise "Give it to Isis" she says "Atem needs your help Ruby" Summer says "Be careful" Ruby says before disappearing.

The welcome Summer has in the past is expected, but she's not impressed "Yeah, please stop pointing weapons at me and my kid" she says dryly "Who are you?" Ra asks, but instead of answering the goddess of summer hands the book of gods over and Luna, Silver and Ruby's mother, takes it from her "I'm from the future, I'm here to save us from certain doom, during your next meeting Seth will disappear and you'll think him dead, however in my time he's back and he plans to destroy us all" Summer explains, Luna and Isis compare books "It's true" Isis says "Also Ruby wants you to have this" Summer says handing the file to Isis, who recognizes her own handwriting, so she goes over it "I'll be borrowing her" she says before dragging Luna with her "So that's my grandson?" Ra asks "Yes it is" Summer answers "Seth, you're forbidden to go to the next meeting" Osiris says, Seth obviously doesn't take it too well a simple girl ruined his plans completely, so he attacks. Before any of the gods can react though the attack is blocked by Silver's sword "I really would appreciate it if you wouldn't try to kill my wife and son" he says, but his terrifying aura makes Summer hide behind Ra, Silver was the calm one of the siblings and even Ruby had never gotten him this angry and she had been super annoying as a child "I don't have to listen to you" Seth says, going red in anger "Really? The crown says otherwise" Silver states calmly "And you know the punishment for attacking the queen of gods. Frankly, Ruby would have killed you by now, so consider yourself lucky", Ra looks at Summer and then at Silver "You're not going to destroy the portal room right?" he asks "He won't" Summer says "You might not recognize Seth when he's done though" "The situation is somewhat under control" Silver says "Let's hope Ruby and Atem have just as much luck then" Summer mumbles.
