Chapter 3.5

A few days after the attack of the monsters everyone is on the lookout, besides a few who went back to check the damage, the ones who had gotten injured were being treated "I can't believe you could be this stupid" Seth says watching Ruby flinch each time Isis tried to help her "I had to" Ruby counters "He'd be dead if it wasn't for me". Once Isis is done Ruby wanders of to the room belonging to the young prince "You really are an idiot" he mumbles as she sits down on the bed "You too?" she asks slightly annoyed "Yep" is the simple answer she gets before hearing him sit up "I guess I'm stupid too then" he says before Ruby pulls him in a surprise hug and he falls back down "You idiot" Ruby says "You could have died" she adds hugging him tighter as she buries her face in his chest "Ruby, time to go home" a girl says entering the room "I wanna stay here for a while" Ruby says and her fellow goddess in training leaves "I'm not bothering you right?" Ruby asks but she doesn't get a reply "Guess he fell asleep, a lot did happen" she mumbles closing her eyes, not that she could leave, he had wrapped his arms around her and she slowly dozes of too.

Mahad goes to check on the young prince later and he smiles slightly "Even you can catch a cold you know" he whispers putting Ruby under the covers as well "Thank you for protecting him" he says and he leaves the room again. "Your majesty, your son is asleep" he says and the Pharaoh asks "And Ruby? I didn't see her leave" "She fell asleep too, guess she needed to be sure he would be alright" Mahad says and they look at Isis who says "His future will be bright with her around".

The next day the prince is surprised to see Ruby asleep and he smiles "There's no getting rid of you is there?" he asks quietly and Seth says "She wouldn't leave even if your father told her too, he tried, she just mumbled a 'no' and went back to sleeping" "Why are you here?" "To make sure you get your rest, from what Ruby's brother told us she has been busy the past few weeks despite making time to see you" Seth says looking at the sleeping girl, it was hard to believe she's a goddess sometimes, but with what she knew and could do it was also obvious. "Besides, even if she leaves then she'll keep an eye on you". Ruby slightly wakes up and mumbles "You're too loud" "Sorry" Seth says and he smiles "But thanks to you he didn't get up when he woke up, he needs rest" "And so do you" Ruby says "Unless you have stuff to do I suggest you get some sleep too" Ruby points out noticing that the very stubborn prince is ttying to get up so she says "I can handle keeping him in his room".

A week passed before the Pharaoh was allowed to leave his room, Ruby had left earlier "Mana, why are you do happy?" Mahad asks his future appretice, who says "The Pharaoh gave me permission to take him to town, without guards" "Alright then, but take Seth with you just in case" Mahad says earning a nod.

In town everything goes rather well and the three arrive at the once 'haunted' house that collapsed to the ground, probably during the attack "More advanced ones have a return spell, but I though this was still standing" Seth says and Mana looks at the feather in her hand "Maybe she destroyed it upon leaving again" "But why?" the prince asks and the Pharaoh walks over "Because she wants to prevent another attack, she told me she felt guilty because she thought it was her fault, she has been making trips to this place all the time". Mana looks at the feather and a bright light blinds them "What's that?" Seth asks looking at the giant building "Let's go look". Inside the building they see statues and places where statues are suppose to be "A temple?" Mana asks and Ruby appears, but faded "Hey, thought you might like this to pray or whatever" she says and smiles "Also this temple is linked to the ones we have, statues will appear of those who died for some reason, come visit often okay?" she asks.
