pool day {steve and bucky}

i run to steve's room and knock on the door several times

he opens it, laughing "yes?"

i smile widely "do you want to have a pool day with me?"

he nods "sure, meet you out there"

i smile excitedly and run to bucky's room

i knock on the door several times and he opens it with a hard expression

it softens when he sees me "yeah?"

i smile "do you want to have a pool day with me?"

"uh, i don't know, y/n"

"please, steve will be there too" i beg

he sighs "fine. meet you out there"

i smile in excitement as i race to my room and throw on my favorite colored swimsuit

i run out of my room, grabbing some towels on the way

i walk outside and throw the towels on a chair before walking over to the two boys

steve is wearing american flag swim trunks and no shirt

bucky is wearing some solid black swim trunks and a white tank top

when they see me, their faces light up

i smile "ready to have fun, boys?"

they both nod, laughing

steve jumps in and i jump in afterwards, creating a smaller splash than him

i splash and mess around with steve for a while before i notice that bucky still wasn't in the pool with us

i get out, letting my body drip cold drops of water onto the hot pavement as i walk over to him

"what's wrong, buck?" i ask

he shakes his head

"i just-" he stops "it's nothing"

"no, tell me. please"

he looks behind me and i turn around, seeing steve watching us curiously

i smile and walk over to him "can you give us a few minutes alone?"

he nods, getting out of the pool and drying off with a towel before walking inside

i walk back over to bucky and sit on the warm pavement, patting a spot in front of me

he sits and stares at the ground

"i just- i've never shown anyone what i look like with my shirt off after i got this thing" he says gesturing to his arm with such hatred

i scoot closer to him and sit in between his legs

"you have nothing to be insecure about bucky" i say, looking up into his icy blue eyes
