You lazily raise your head, a metallic taste invading your mouth as you look around the room with hazy eyes. You begin to get your bearings when you suddenly feel a gloved hand run through your hair before harshly tugging it back.
You yell in pain and the owner of the gloved hand laughs loudly, removing the hand and moving in front of you, emerald green eyes staring into yours, "...Roman.." You growl, narrowing your eyes at him.
"Hey, doll." He hummed as he examined your face, trying to lean in for a kiss, yet you simply headbutt him. He steps back, licking his bleeding lip before he hits you straight in the nose with his cane, causing a wet crunch to sound through the room.
You scream in pain as Roman walks out to tend to his bust lip, leaving you to writhe around in the wooden chair as the blood from your nose drips into your lap, making the surface of the chair slick.
You slowly begin to lose consciousness after a while, in so much pain you barely even hear the yelling from outside your door and a couple of gunshots that ring through whatever building you were in.
Your head hangs limp, blood continuing to drip onto your thighs, your clothes now stained a deep ruby colour, some of it dripping off the chair and splattering onto the ground near your feet.
The door slowly opens, James walking in with a flashlight and his gun at the ready in case anyone tried to attack, yet the second he sees you he drops his gun and smiles. He steps towards you and places his hand on your cheek.
He gently caresses your cheek and slowly unties you, wiping the blood from your broken nose. After untying you, he gently picks you up, his scarred and rough lips pressing a soft kiss against your forehead as he carries you out the room.
You subconsciously curl into him and he smiles again.
You were finally safe.
You were home.
