Pref. # 10 - Comforting Him

Jace:

Jace had been beating himself up ever since I got hurt during the vamp/wolf fight. I was told this by Izzy. Once I left the infirmary a couple day after, I went to find Jace. And I found him in my room.

"Jace?" I stood in the door. He reacted but didn't look at me. He was sitting on the bed, hunched over while leaning his head on his hands. "Jace come on." I walked into the room.

"It's my fault." He said while slightly looking at me.

"No it isn't." I said while sitting next to him. 

"Yes it is!" He flung his hands down while looking at me fully. "I didn't make sure you were following until it was too late." He got up and started to pace in front of me.

"I made a mistake Jace. I should have kept a better eye out." He stopped and looked at me. 

"But we're a team. I'm supposed to watch your back!" He sat back down in the same spot rather heavily. "I'm also your boyfriend so I'm supposed to protect you." I grabbed his hand. I nuzzled my head into his back.

"Jace, look at me." He did. I could see his eyes were slightly red. "I'm fine. I'm alive. I don't blame you in the slightest. If it wasn't for you I might as well have been. Because of you I am alive." He smiled at me. I lent forward and kissed him. When we pulled away he put his arm around me and pulled me to him.

"Thank you." I just snuggled into his neck. He chuckled. He then pulled us down and held me to him.

Alec:

Maryse had been giving Alec a hard time lately. Everything he did wouldn't please her. She griped at him all the time. Today it seemed really bad because Alec stormed off. I went off to find him. About an hour later I found him in the garden outside. He saw me walk up.

"Hey." He said lowly.

"Hi." I sat down next to him on the ground. I wrapped my arms around my knees. "How are you doing?" He sighed.

"I don't really know. Mad, upset, sad. I just don't know what to do." His voice shook.

"I'm sorry." I unwrapped my arms and turned toward him.

"You didn't do anything. It was all me." That irked me.

"No it wasn't! It was all your mother. She needs to lower her standards. Nothing you do, Isabelle does, or anyone for that matter pleases her."

"But Shadowhunters need to be prepared, vigilant, and..."

"I know, I know." I moved to where I was in front of him. "I know Shadowhunters need to be all that but...that doesn't mean you have to be perfect." I put my hand on his neck. "No one on Earth is."

"You're right. I'm not and that's okay." He grabbed my hand and kissed it. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." 

Simon:

Lately Simon was getting himself down again. Because he was a vampire then he would get mad at Clary for deciding to make him into this. I got a call from Clary saying that after a mission, Simon stormed off very pissed off for no reason or a reason they didn't know.

"Clary! Clary! Calm down. I'll find him."

"I'm sorry Y/N. I should have tried to stop him."

"It's not your fault. I'll find him and let you know what's up."

"Okay." I hung up on her. I put my shoes on and my jacket and then left the house. It was dark and it made me nervous a bit. I haven't been out alone in the dark without Simon since the drunken ex with a gun incident. I tried to call Simon.

"Come on Simon pick up." I tried to call him a couple of times before he finally picked up.

"Hi."

"Where are you?"

"Central park." I hung up and walked there. I saw him sitting on the base of a tree. He looked up and saw me. He held out a hand for me. I grabbed it and he pulled me into his lap. He buried his face into my shoulder and just held onto me. I didn't say anything because I could tell being here was helping him.

"Are you better now?" I asked while playing with his hair.

"Yeah." He paused. "Thank you. For being here. I know I can't change the past but I can change the future." I looked at him.

"Good and you're welcome." I then kissed him.

Magnus:

Clary, Simon, and Camille just left from Magnus' loft. I had been on the balcony keeping my distance from her. Magnus had to draw up a contract for Camille so she wouldn't get in trouble for turning Simon with the Clave. I could tell he wasn't happy with her here. Once I knew they were gone I went back in to see Magnus glancing at the door.

"Magnus?" I called. He looked toward me but his glare didn't let up. He then started to pace.

"Why does she have to come around now?" He asked out loud. I walked over to the couch he was pacing behind and sat down on my knees and leant my arms on the back of the couch. I just watched him pace. "When everything is going good and your trying to stay away from her she has to show up!" He was ranting by now and I let him. He went on for a few more minutes. He finally stopped pacing and took a breath.

"Are you done?" I asked. He nodded. "Okay, come here." I crawled over the back of the couch and sat on it. He came over and wrapped his arms around my waist and mine around his neck. I kissed his neck in comfort. "Everything will be fine. She can't do anything to me as long as I am with you. Also and can go screw herself because she has no power over anything anymore." He smiled.

"You're right." I smiled and kissed him on the nose. He giggled but relaxed.

Raphael:

Ever since the incident with the hobo demon, Raphael has been very uptight. And I mean uptight. He has always walked me home or picked me up or had me on the phone the entire way to and from the hotel. And right now was one of those uptight moments, and it was annoying.

"Y/N, you need to be more careful when outside of the hotel!" He was lecturing me on how to be safe. I rolled my eyes while slumping into the couch.

"Raph..."

"I mean something else could happen." He turned toward me and kept going on and on.

"Raphael!" He looked at me. "What was I supposed to do? It was the first time I saw a demon. Of course it was going to be bad." I stood up and walked in front of him. "I'm a big girl. I can take care of myself. And if I can't  you'll be the first person I call." I took his hand. He sighed.

"I know." He pulled me to him by the waist. "I worry though." I smiled while I buried my head in his chest. It was nice seeing Raphael like this. "I don't want anything to happened to you."

"As long as I'm with you, I will be fine." He kissed my head.

"Alright."

"Remember, I may be human but that doesn't mean I'm weak."
