Imagine After returning home from running away from Jace, Alec, and the Institute your drunkard father comes home and decides to be his normal, abusive self but this time is even more mean than normal. Jace shows up just on time to save you and take you away from your father forever.
"Y/N? Where the hell are you? You better be here!" I heard him scream from the living room. "Come out you little bitch!" I walked out timidly.
"Yes dad?" I asked with a shaky voice. He whipped around to look at me. He came toward me and grabbed my arm hard.

"Where the fuck have you been? Huh? Where?" He screamed at me. "I was out with Clary that's it! No where else! Please let go!" I cried out. He then pushed me away from him and into a wall. "Ahh!" I cried. "And look at this place! It's filthy!" "But I just cleaned it this morn...." He cut me off by slapping me. It had enough force to turn my whole body to where I was leaning against my shoulder. "If you cleaned it, which I doubt, you did a terrible job!" He was standing there heavy breathing. Next thing I knew a glass vase was thrown against the wall next to me. "Ahhhhh!" I screamed and sunk to my knees to try and avoid the majority of the glass. But my skin was still littered with small cuts. I had covered my head so I didn't see him come near me. My hair was grabbed and I was pulled up by it. "You gone for nothing brat!" He threw across the room and onto the coffee table. I was waiting for another blow when I heard a different noise. I rolled over onto my side and weakly propped myself up to see Jace holding my father by his next against the wall. I heard my say something but I couldn't make out what it was before I lost my strength, fell to the table, and blacked out.

Jace's POV I came out of Y/N's room to see a man throw her across the room onto a coffee table. I turned back toward the man to see glass littered around his feet. The crash and scream. I just saw red when what happened. I stormed toward the man. He caught sight of me. "Who in the hell are..." He didn't have time to finish his sentence before I had him held against the wall by his neck. He started to claw at my wrist and kick at me but nothing phased me. "You ever come near Y/N again, you will regret the day you were born." I threatened in a voice that put fear in his eyes. I threw him to the side and turned toward Y/N. I heard him scrabble off behind me but didn't care. When I got to her I could tell she was hurt and unconscious. I picked her up slowly and gently and headed out the door that the man left open.

When I got to the street, I turned in the direction of the Institute to take her home. *Time Skip* Y/N's POV When I woke up I saw the ceiling of the Institute infirmary. I sat up slowly because I had a pain shot through my entire body. I looked around to see that no one was around. I remembered what happened before I blacked out and had the urge to cry. Just then someone walked into the room. I turn to see Jace. He looked at me and his expression went from a normal stern face to one of compassion. He moved with grace to my bed and sat on the edge. His eyes held what seemed to be pain. "Why didn't you tell anyone?" He asked in a small voice. I stayed silent. "What that man, your father, did was unacceptable. He has no right to push you around!" His voice raised a little but he calmed down when I winced. "Why didn't you tell me?" I looked up at him. "I was scared." I admitted. I had tears coming from my eyes by now. He did something I never expected. He took my hand in his and brought it to his lips. He kissed my hand for a few seconds.

When he looked up into my eyes he said something that made my heart swell. "Well you don't have to be scared anymore because as long as I live nothing will ever happen to you." He paused for a minute. "I'm here for you. For now and forever."
