Handcuffed Together

That's my hand!" Magnus shouted as I yanked my hand to the gear shift.

You see, we were handcuffed together. It's a long story, that I won't go into details about....but it was complicated and we were driving away from the person chasing us.

I pulled my hand to the steering wheel and Magnus lurched forward.

"Can you try and be a little careful?!"

"We're trying to escape! What do you want me to do?!"

"Do you even know how to drive?"

I went quiet. "Um....we'll worry about that later."

I slammed on the gas and drove til we reached a mall. I pulled him out and the two of us ran in.

"Why the mall?" he asked.

"We'll pass for an annoying couple, holding hands."

"Honey, if you're trying to get frisky with me, I won't have it!"

"Magnus...be quiet."

We ran into the nearest store we could find. Books a Million.

My eyes widened in wonder and I went forward, hugging the shelves.

"This is the purpose of existence!" Magnus yanked his arm and I flew back.

"Running for our lives here!"

"Right, right. Got it!"

We continued walking til he saw the bathroom sign and bit his lower lip.

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Magnus. Don't you even think about it."

"But I need to go!"

"Hold it!"

He pouted and looked away.

"Freeze!"

I spun on my heels and Magnus fell face first onto the ground. I began running, dragging Magnus behind me on the floor.

"Alice, let me stand up!"

I grabbed his shoulder and yanked him up. We both ran into Victoria's Secret. Magnus screamed and i shieled both our eyes.

A lady stared at us. I reached into her hair and pulled out a bobby pin with a quick pardon me.

I picked the lock to the cuffs and I was free.

Magnus rubbed the skin on his wrist and sighed.

The people that were chasing us ran in and I punched them, knocking them unconscious.

I inhaled deeply and Magnus grabbed my hand.

"Let's grab pizza!"

And that was how we got banned from the mall.
