Bucky One-Shot [18]

"Your new assignment."

You were handed a cream colored folder. You opened it up and you were first greeted with a picture of a man frozen.

"The Winter Soldier?" You asked incredulously. "I thought he was just a myth."

"No he is not and I am assigning you to watch him for the time being."

"Okay." You said.

"Now off too it. Hail Hydra!"

"Hail Hydra!" You said back before going to the designated room you were supposed to watch the Winter Soldier in.

You past some guards and stepped into a room. Inside was a man sitting on a chair. You felt slightly intimidated by him especially with his metal arm. He looked up at you with cold empty eyes. Deciding since you'll be stuck with him for awhile you decided to introduce yourself.

"Hi, I'm Y/N." You said with a smile, catching him off guard. 

"I don't care." He said in a cold voice, glaring at you. You slightly flinched at his cold glare but quickly brushed it off.

"Okay fine, geez." You said. 

He looked back at you. He just met you and already finds you annoying but interesting. No one has ever made an attempt to speak to him unless telling him about his missions or asking for a mission report. But you, just a simple Hydra Agent actually tried making a normal conversation with him. Then a foreign feeling took over him which is none other then, guilt.

"Winter." He said out of the blue.

"What?" You asked turning to him.

"You can call me winter." He told her. A smile appeared on your face making him feel awkward. You stuck your hand out for him.

"Well it's nice to meet you Winter." You say.

Hesitantly he took your hand shaking it, causing your smile to grow. 

And at that moment he took in just how beautiful you were.

A few months later

You stepped into what can be considered Bucky's room but to find it empty. Panic struck through you.

During the last few months you and Bucky have grown very close and you've read up on all the memory wipes which worried you that he'd forget about you and today they were going to wipe him again to prepare him for a mission.

Another door opened and out stepped Bucky shirtless with a towel around his waist. Your face grew a bright red. He looked at you surprised.

"Y/N what're you-" You cut him off when you slammed into him, wrapping your arms around him. He didn't hesitate to hug you back. "What's wrong?" He asked concerned.

"I thought they took you." You said as a tear slid down your face.

"Shh, it's alright." He whispered rubbing your back soothingly.

"I can't lose you." You whispered, surprising him. He pulled back slightly to look down at you. He gently wiped a tear away with his thumb.

"You won't." He whispered resting his forehead against yours. "I promise." You sniffled.

"They plan on wiping your memory again James." You told him. [You learned about his real name 2 months prior]

"I have a plan." He told you gently placing a kiss on your lips. "Do you trust me?"

"Of course." You say automatically.

Bucky wore the whole Winter Soldier uniform and held a gun in hand. You carried your own gun.

"Are you ready?" You asked him as you both stepped out of his room. He nodded before making him look emotionless.

You both walked down the hall keeping straight faces.

"Hey what do you think you are doing, Hydra vehicles are cut off to the likes of you." A guard spat down at you. Out of the corner of your eye you saw Bucky tense, knowing all e wanted to do was punch the guard.

"I have my orders to escort the Winter Soldier to the vehicles." You boldly told him. His eyes widened as if he just noticed the Winter Soldier beside you. You pushed past the guard and entered the garage.

Once the door closed behind you sighed in relief.

"This once." Bucky stated  going over to a motorcycle. You jogged over to the metal door and punched in the code for it to open.

An alarm went off as a red light glowed.

"Hop on" Bucky yelled as someone on the loud speaker yelled

"The Winter Soldier has escaped, everyone on high alert we must get him back."

You ran over and hopped onto the back of the bike. Wrapping your arms around Bucky he sped off.

It felt like forever until Bucky stopped the motorcycle. You got off where Bucky followed. He stopped at a dock alongside an abandoned building.

Bucky pulled you into his chest wrapping his arms securely around you. You moved your arms so they went around him.

"If they find us they'll kill me and take you away again."

"They won't." He murmured in your hair before placing a kiss on top of your head. "They won't lay a hand on you, and they won't find us....I swear on my life they won't." He told you.

"I love you." You told him.

"I love you too."
