Intro: Oh boy, here we go... Now for a ship that isn't as popular as most you find on Yu-Gi-Oh!. Yugi is (obviously) the main character of the show, while Rebecca didn't get a major role until Season 4: Waking the Dragons. But, oh boy, did Season 4 change my way of thinking... Rebecca's grandfather is good friends with Yugi's, and when Yugi and Rebecca first dueled, their duel reminds them of when they once dueled, like a replay, hence the name, Replayshipping.
Proof: The two officially met near the end of Season 1. Until her return in Season 4, the only sign of attraction that we got was Yugi giving her the card, The Ties of Friendship. And I think Rebecca's opinion of Yugi changed from a bit hateful to infatuated when he gave her that card.
The moment she appears in Season 4, the first thing she does is run up to him and hug him. One conversation later, she calls him her boyfriend, much to Teá's chagrin. Most would chalk Rebecca's infatuation as a simple childhood crush, but she shows constant signs of major concern for him.
And don't even get me started on when Vivian arrives...
What I think: Strangely enough, I got into this pairing because of the abridged version of the show. I know Yugi's main love interest is Teá, but I never found myself shipping them. It just didn't feel right. Then when Rebecca came along in Season 4, I realized I had found my answer. This situation also applies to the next pairing...
As Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged put it...
Yami: Hey Yugi? Ya gonna hit that?
Yugi: Hmm... No.
Yami: Shame... Damn shame.
