"That's the fifth one now, isn't it? What an accomplishment!"

Am I having fun writing Book 5's chapters 13 and onward? Perhaps.

It somewhat feels like years ago when I used to draw so much art connected to this series. Do I miss those days. But unfortunately I am adult with adult things to do.

Art is at the bottom of this post. If you haven't read the book 5 chapters, don't read anything past the spoiler warning!

My dear Wattpad readers, you get bonus content because Wattpad lets me do that.

Here is some Shin backstory for this timeline:

After the other Supreme Kais perished, Shin immediately went to work. Taking the mantle of five Kais, and the universe at the very brink of death, there was simply no time to slow down for anything. Had to repair the wounds the universe suffered. Make new planets. (But so many of them are inhabitable because...his training was incomplete?) Tried to fill them with flora and fauna. (But they withered or died soon after. Too unstable.)

Kibito was there for support, at least. He did his best to help with what he knew. He watched his master fail and fail again, but he kept going.

Trials after trials after trials until Shin finally makes a planet stable enough to hold itself together. So many young planets. And the universe is still scarred. But it was a success at least. He did the best he could with the limited knowledge he had.

But during those five-million years of repairing just about every single day, he simply never had the time to grieve.

And Majin Buu is waking again. And the wizard he thought he slayed decided to have his son finished what he started.

How fun.

And now, the one who loyally stayed by his side these five-million years is gone too. And perhaps...it was his fault.

He was really close to breaking down here

He was really close to breaking down here.

You ask (or not) if he shed any tears at all. But he's a Supreme Kai. He shouldn't show weakness in front of mortals!

The answer is yes. And Babidi knew. And he was absolutely goading him over it.

He just needed two minutes. You don't touch someone when they are trying to keep themselves together. (Or maybe that's just me. I don't exactly want anyone touching me when I'm hit with a wave of grief.)

But, Shin picked himself back up, because there's a universe to save.

Now, I would had drawn him collapsed on the ground as he was in the 12th chapter... but I wanted to go for something simpler.

So I made this.

Probably Shin looking at where Kibito had fallen before he pulls his emotions together

The worst part about being a Supreme Kai is that when another golden Kai in your circle dies, you feel that.

Essentially speaking...Shin practically died five times now. Isn't that fun?

It doesn't get easier, no.

...

Although this art does remind me of something. Hmmm.

Probably a... future chapter? Which one? I'm not telling you. :)

....

But if you read this far, I'll go ahead and share a snippet of chapter 13. BUT do not expect an update anytime soon. I am working on these slowly. This is also a first draft so it's messy.
