Some MORE OTES Kai body language (EYES!)

Book 5 spoilers up to chapter 12!

You may have noticed I am a fan of magic systems. Dragon Ball doesn't explore magic very often. But when it does it's very cool.

Magic has been prominent in this story since book 3 when the crown debuted. But now we are in book 5 when magic is part of the main plot. And that is FUN.

In the OTES universe, lightning in The Mortal Realm was created from the Kai's divine magic, as confirmed by Shin in Chapter 11. So basically every lightning strike you see was due to magic bringing it to life. (Although everything in the mortal realm was created by the Kais.)

Here's a little OTES funfact for you. Among the four Supreme Kais, Shin is the most talented with lightning. This has a lot to do with his Ultimate Attack in the Budokai Tenkaichi series though.

But I'm not here to talk about that. I'm here to showcase eyes and how they glow because eyes changing appearance due to abilities is one of my favorite things in media.

I like how Super Saiyan is so inconsistent if the eyes should be green or blue. At least in the early episodes.

But anyways, some cool things about the Kais.

There's actually a few inspirations for this

There's actually a few inspirations for this. Although the bases draws back to Shin's showdown with Majin Buu.

He destroyed an energy blast unleashed by Majin Buu

He destroyed an energy blast unleashed by Majin Buu. That's pretty impressive.

Against Majin Buu it stunned him for a bit. But Majin Buu is STRONG. Imagine if he used this on anyone else. They'll probably be sent halfway across the globe. (Maybe.)

Although some inspiration ties back to one of my favorite childhood movies: "Arceus and The Jewel of Life". And for any non-pokémon fans, Arceus is basically the God of all Pokémon. The one who created the universe and every legendary and onward.

(The attack Arceus uses here is called "Judgement" btw)

On a funny note, people clown on Zamasu for talking about divine judgment in every. Single. Episode.

But you know who did it first?

Arceus.

Is this a god thing? Could be a god thing.

I love this movie.

...lesson here is, don't anger a god or they will talk about justice forever.

Jokes aside, when will people learn that pissing off a creation god is a very, very stupid idea?

(I'm looking at you, Babidi. You would think he would learn from his DAD.)

Yes, book 5 is steadily being worked on. In a much, much slower pace for the sake of my sanity. Updates are on hold. My lips are sealed.

"Can we get a little spoiler?"

Nah.

"Just a tiny one?"

Chapter 12 wrapping up with a very pissed-off Supreme Kai. How does the next chapter open up? Hoo boy hoo boy.

Of course I know. Because I wrote it.
