Dad's In Charge?... //Liam//

Dylan sat on the floor staring up at his father. You had gone out to one of your friend's hen party. This left Liam alone to watch your son.
"Dylan, I'm not going to tell you again to pick up all the blocks." Liam told his son sternly. Dylan picked up one of the blocks on the floor and placed it in the bucket. "Good job." Liam praised him, thinking he had won that situation. Dylan smiles and takes the same block out of the bucket and shucks it across the room. Liam gasps in shock, staring at his son in disbelief.
"Dylan you did not just do that." Liam kneels down to his son's level. "You don't throw things." Liam explains to him. Dylan shrugs and crawls away from Liam. Dylan looks at his father from where he was. Liam lets out a sigh and stands up.
"Come here."
"No." Dyaln crawls away from him as fast as his little legs would allow him to move. Liam walked over to him and picks him up.
"I think you need a timeout." Liam walks him to a corner in the room.
"No." Dylan protests twisting his body around so he could get out of Liam's hold.
"Dylan stop being bad!" Liam never raised his voice, but he just had no idea what to do at this point. Usually you were there to help control Dylan. Dylan pushes his lips out, the bottom lip starts to quiver as he stares up at Liam.
"No." He whines when he realizes he's going into timeout.
"Yes, I'm in charge." Liam sat him down in the corner. "No getting up." He warns him. Liam got up and went to the living room. Dylan was in timeout for a good twenty minutes. When the time was up, Liam walked over to him to find him curled up sleeping. Liam picks him up and takes him upstairs to his room.
"Good night buddy." He kisses his son's head before leaving the room.
That night as you were getting ready for bed, you looked over to Liam.
"How was Dylan?" You asked him.
"He was.....amazing. Watching him was the easiest thing ever. He did not give me any problems at all." You stared at Liam catching his bluff, but you let him slide.
