You were standing outside with Zayn's sisters and parents. You guys were waiting for Zayn's plane to arrive. He was finally coming home after being away for 5 months in the marine. You stood there nervously biting on your nails, watching the marines walk out of the plane.
"Do you see him?" You asked Zayn's older sister. She shook his head no, standing on her toes to see over the taller people in the front. Where is he? You thought searching the crowd.
"Y/n!" You heard someone call. You looked to the voice, a huge smile forming on your face.
"Zayn!" You ducked under the barrier and ran to him. He dropped his bags down, opening his arms out for you. "Ahhh, I can't believe you're really here!!" You exclaimed, embracing him tightly. Zayn chuckled cupping your face.
"God, I missed you so much." He stroked your cheeks, staring into your eyes. You blushed, staring back.
"I missed you too." You smiled, nuzzling your face into his chest.
"Welcome home Zayn," His family finally came over. You guys pulled away and he hugged his family. You wiped your eyes. You also fanned your face, this was just so emotional for you. So many people had lost their spouse in this life style and you really didn't want to have to go through that.
You and Zayn held hands as you guys walked to your car. You helped Zayn put his bags in the trunk of the car, then you got into the driver's side.
"Are you hungry?" You asked him as you started up the car. Zayn nodded his head taking off his Marine hat. He shook his head, running a hand through his hair to fix it. " I see you grew out your hair." You spoke, pulling out into the road. Zayn smiles rolling down the window.
"Yeah, I wanted to try something different, you like?" He asked. You glanced at his hair. "I like it. It's different." You complimented him. You bit your lips as you finally got to the small diner you guys would be eating at.
Once you guys were seated with drinks and some appetizers, you began to fire questions at him.
"How was it? Was it scary? Did you kill anyone?" You chewed on a French fry watching him. Zayn chuckles, rolling up his shirt sleeves.
"No, baby I didn't kill anyone," he began, taking a sip of his beer. "All we really did was train, look out for any threats on the seas. The marines don't really do much at the moment since we aren't in war." He shruggs playing with napkin. You nod, finishing your fries.
"So what's the point of being away for so long?" You asked annoyed.
Zayn let out a sigh, his eyes furrowing together as if he were in deep thought.
"I actually don't know. That's just how its always been."
"Well I'm happy you're home safe." You reached for his hand over the table. Zayn grabbed your hand and leaned over kissing you softly.
"Its good to be home." He smirks biting your lips before pulling away, leaning back in his chair.
(Sorry its so short, the next one will be longer, I promise!)
