Warning: May trigger lots of tears. Sorry don't hate me!!

You yawned covering your mouth with your hand. It was just about 6am in the morning and you had to wake up to make breakfast for your kids. You mixed the pancake batter in the bowl then placed a skillet on the stove and added some cooking spray. You poured the mixture into small cirlcles on the skillet. You waited till it starred to bubble to flip it over.
"Morning mom," your daughter Lianna walked into the kicthen. She was still dressed in her pajamas.
"Morning pumpkin," you smiled handing her a plate of pancakes. "Want some bacon too?" You asked her to which she nodded her head yes. You got started on the bacon, flipping some more pancakes at the same time.
"Is dad calling today?" She asked with a mouth full of pancakes drenched in syrup. You nod your head, turning to put some bacon on her plate.
"Yes, can you go wake up your brother?" You asked her. Lianna nods and gets up from the table. You finished making the breakfast and took a break, leaning on the counter with a nice warm cup of tea. Your husband, Louis was off in Afghanistan for 7 months. So far it has only been 3 months since he was gone. You were left with your 15 year old daughter, Lianna, and your 10 year old son, Tommy. You smiled when you saw Lianna return with Tommy. He rubbed his eyes as he sat at the table. He was not a morning person at all.
"Alright you guys hurry up and eat breakfast so you can go get ready for school." You told your kids, finishing off your tea. You washed the pans that were in the sink then set them in the dish washer. When the kids finished eating the house phone started to ring.
"I'll get it!" Lianna got up from the chair and rushed to the phone. "Hello?...Oh hi Aunt Lottie....yeah she's here. Why? What's wrong? Okay..." Lianna looks to you, "Mom, it's Aunt Lottie." You walked over taking the phone. Why would she be calling so early in the morning.
"Hey, what's up?" You leaned on the wall pressing the phone to your ear. Lottie was frantic on the phone, crying...you could barely understand what she was saying. "Honey, slow down I can't understand you...what happened?" Lottie took in a deep breath.
"It's Louis, something bad happened." When she said that you dropped the phone. No, no, no. This was not happening. Then the bell rang. You handed Lianna the phone and went to go get the door. You opened the door and when you did you wanted to shut it back. There stood in front of you were two Military officials. You let them in. The two tiped their hats at you and stepped inside, taking off their hats.
"Sorry to disturb you ma'am," the one of the left began. You stared at them, waiting for the hated words to escape their lips. Lianna and Tommy came over and you wrapped your arms around them. You didn't want them to hear this but they had too.
"Is Louis Tomlinson your husband?" You nod your head yes not trusting your voice at the moment. "I'm sorry to say this but he has been captured..." You looked at them confused.
"He's not dead?"
They shook their heads no, "He's been taken as a hostage along with three others." They informed you. "We just want you to prepare for the worst. We're trying all we can to get him back but it's really tricky. " After a few more questions the two of them left.
"Mom are they going to kill him?" Lianna asked, tears falling from her eyes. You shook your head hugging both of your kids tight.
"No, if anything they'll get annoyed of your father and let him go." You tried to joke. Tommy looked up at you, his lips were quivering.
"What if they don't? They're going to kill him!" He cried out and ran upstairs.
"Tommy!" You called out after him. He slammed his bedroom door shut. You let out a sigh, running a hand through your hair. You started pacing the halls. You had no idea what you were going to do. You grabbed hold of the cross on your neck and kissed it. You quickly whispered a prayer to it and went downstairs.
*Two weeks later*
You sat in the church, holding Lianna's hand. You looked around the room, everything was stark black. You could hear the sobbing all throughout the room. You stared at the coffin up in the front. You wiped a tear that fell from your eyes.
"Are you okay?" Louis asked placing his hands on top of yours. You said nothing as you got up and walked to the coffin. You stared at the body in it with a frown. Why?
You leaned over and placed a kiss on the cold, pale, cheek of the person lying in there. "Babe?" Louis asked again coming to stand next to you. Tommy ran to the coffin and reached in shaking the person.
"Wake up!" He yelled frustrated, you started crying as you looked at your son breaking down. You wrapped your arms around him, pulling him away from the coffin.
"Mom you said they'd let him go, you said that!" He cried into your arms. Louis stood there feeling helpless. Why were you guys ignoring him? He turned and looked into the coffin. Louis let out gasp.
"That's me..."

You woke up, sweating and panting heavily. Louis sat up in bed looking at you. He rubbed your back.
"Nightmare?" He wondered as you nod and hug him.
"You died." You whispered. "You died."
Louis kiss the top of your head.
"I will never leave you guys."
