1. Invest in good art materials lalo na for first year kasi puro traditional media ang ginagamit sa first year.
2. Have a trusty pencil case. Believe me you will buy a lot of pencils, pens and unipins.
3. It will help kung makaka-acquire ka ng locker dahil hassle magdala ng gamit everyday.
Check out each store bago pumili where to buy.
5. Be good in conceptualization. That's the heart of advertising. At sabi nga ng favorite prof ko, there are 101 ways to present a concept and a good advertiser always has a fresh concept to present.
6. Practice time management. Yung minor subjects mo magpapaka major.
7. Start acquiring magazines and news papers. I think these are essential for references. Promise.
8. Begin being mindful of advertisements you see everywhere. I really think it will pay off to be keen in analyzing and appreciating advertisements (sa lahat ng media).
9. Always give your best in everything. Sabi nila madaling maging DL sa CFAD? Sabi nila madaling pumasa? Sabi nila petiks lang kasi puro drawing? WRONG WRONG WRONG. Walang madali, lahat kailangan ng vigorous effort and persistence. Give your best. Don't settle for tres. Don't settle for mediocrity. If you can't be competitive in your field, lalamunin ka ng industriya.
10. Love your course, love art, love your profs, love your blockmates and love CFAD. I'm really happy in CFAD. Kahit na laging pagod and puyat, I feel accomplished because I pour in dedication and love in what I do. So I think it's really important. Welcome to CFAD! Thomasian Advertiser ka na and you got this! Goodluck
