Fanfic Friday (2014 to 2017)

1. Oneshot (July 11-18, 2014) ~ A writer could submit up to two one-shots ranging from one-thousand to eight-thousand words in length. This contest also allowed writers to submit stories written prior to July 11. After this all stories needed to be written during the entry period unless otherwise specified.

2. Comic-Con (July 25-31, 2014) ~ The prompt for this contest involving "[character a] and [character b] walking into a bar". No RPF (Real Person Fiction) was allowed and fandoms were limited to ones a person could find at Comic-Con. Stories needed to be around one-thousand words give or take a hundred words. (Stories from Comic-Con were hard to dig out because stories were only tagged #fanficfriday.)

3. Gender Studies (August 8-22, 2014) ~ The prompt for this contest involved genderbending a canon of fanon character. Writer's could submit up to two stories for this contest, and stories need to be between two-thousand to three-thousand words.

4. Drabble (August 22-26, 2014) ~ Writer's submitted drabbles two hundred words or less to the comments section for this entry. (I don't have reviews for this as many simply posted their drabbles to the comments section and never posted as an actual story.)

5. Back to School (August 29 to September 11, 2014) ~ Writer's were given ten prompts and were expected to use at least five of these prompts in either a short story or collection of one-shots. I believe the max for this contest word wise was twenty-five to thirty-thousand words.

6. Halloween (October 10-23, 2014) ~ Writer's needed to write a one-shot or short story under ten-thousand words involving Halloween activities.

7. Holiday Contest (November 28 to December 18, 2014) ~ Writers needed to write a one-shot or short story with no more then ten-thousand words involving the holiday season.

8. Alternate Universe (January 16-29, 2015) ~ Writers needed to write a one-shot under ten-thousand words involving a an alternate universe where canon aspects were changed. No short stories.

9. Valentine's Day (February 9-20, 2015) ~ Writer's needed to write a one-shot involving the fluff genre and their OTP (a pairing they preferred within a given fandom between two canon characters, or two celebrities from the same fandom). Entries needed to be five-thousand words or less.

15. Fanfic Frightday (October 2-22, 2015) - This was the second Halloween contest for Fanfic Friday. For this contest the story needed not to be a Halloween story, but instead needed to be spooky.

16. Thanksgiving Contest (November 6-19, 2015) - This contest needed to be based around thanksgiving, or a family dinner.

17. Yuletide (December 4-17, 2015) - This was the second holiday fic, and the rules were pretty much the same, but they tried opening it up to the Yuletide fic theme, where you grant another writer's wishes. That did not exactly go over well, the second part.

18. Perfect Storm (January 21-28, 2016) - The goal of the story was to write about two characters trapped inside during a storm, interpretation could be taken loosely for the prompt. The judges removed the criteria of "keep your content appropriate for all Wattpadders to enjoy". This contest also confirmed that when the judges use the words "fictional characters", they mean fictional, and not real people.

19. Secret Admirer ( February 5-12, 2016) - This was the second Valentine's contest, and the second to focus around an OTP. The theme for this one was also Secret Admirer.

20. Big Change (March 11-24, 2016) -- This is the third OTP contest, and it focused on a big change for your OTP.
