I felt as if my heart was breaking from the newfound information that Ren &' Yella was telling us. This is is so horrible. Not only was E a good man but he is also the father of my sister's kids, her first love, a man I can say she would go over &' beyond for. Yea sure he did her wrong half of the times but at least he always made sure no matter what, he was gon be there for her....always. This gon devastate her.
"So wait a minute, how long did Eric have this...disease?" Mama questioned them.
"We don't know for sure, Mrs. Robinson but Eric wanted us to tell y'all that he advise that she get tested." You could feel the uneasy tension in the room when he said that. This shit would definitely gon devastate her.
"Okay, but to my acknowledgment, the whole time while Lauren was pregnant, I don't remember her doing anything with Eric out of the ordinary besides telling him about the kids &' what not....well anything that I don't know of."
"That's why were telling y'all that it would 100% be best for her to get tested." Yella stated.

I don't like this, not one bit. Half of everybody in this room was either crying or just looking slamp sad. It wasn't right. My sister just had a baby, Lauren has been through enough, she's just now getting her breakthrough. She don't deserve this, she deserves a happy ending! This ain't fair,man!
Daddy stood up. "Okay, okay now. Everybody just hold up, okay? It's not like Lauren already been tested. Let's keep our heads up &' our faith in God, ight? We can't be doubting &' questioning our faith at this moment. We have to be strong for her, for we don't know nothing yet! Keep the faith y'all!" Daddy looked around the room, giving us reassurance that everything is gon be okay. Even if he didn't know if it wasn't, he wasn't going to let anybody talk down a bad situation with negativity. "Now all we need to is build up our strength &' tell her cause this is important &' it ain't nothing to play with." He grabs mommy's hand as he looked at her. "Harlee, Shawn, Bey. Y'all come with us."
