Mother Gladys and youngest daughter Y/N
Y/N was a serpent, no doubt. But she can be scared. And now she was. Even with her brother, Jughead Jones, being serpent king, father, Fp Jones, protecting his children from everything and mother that would risk it all, even if she once did run away, she still felt that fear in her chest. Her sister, Jellybean stood next to her with an arm wrapped around her shoulder for comfort as they stood behind Jughead for protection. Y/N had almost been stabbed by that snake charmer, Penny Peabody. Gladys wasn't having any of her children in trouble.
"Speaking of my Jug," the leader of the Jones' stripped of her jacket, "saw the work you did on him. And my baby girl as well. I saw the cuts and the burn marks all over her," that's why Jellybean held her arm so gently. The burns still hurt, the scars still show, "I don't think burning up my baby was a good idea."
"That was business between me and your idiotic children."
"Well I'm their mama," for once in her life, Gladys was finally saying that she was a mother without regret, "so it's my business now," she gave a 'come here' finger to her children. And they walked to her with Y/N at the back of the pack, "say goodbye to Penny babies," Y/N made eye contact with the snake charmer, and Penny smiled.
It wasn't a thing that Gladys misses. Gladys grabbed the hand of her daughter and brought her into a hug. Comfort and protection.
She leant down to whisper in Y/N's ear, "she's never gonna hurt you again princess."
