van has made an oath to love , care , and protect bt21

his eyes symbolize 'kisses and hugs' to let everyone know that van is a friendly robot
his black and white colors symbolize how he wants to be seen
he doesn't like attention and likes to stay in the back while other people take the spotlight
but although van is shy , he will be outgoing and put it all on the line for bt21
which is why he sometimes activates his confetti mitts
