"Tyler? Are you coming home tonight?" Tyler's wife asked through his phone. His heart sunk a bit to his stomach as he sadly smiled, "I'm afraid I can't"

"Oh. That's o-okay." she chuckled through the phone. "do you at least wanna talk to Piper?"

"yes, of course" the hero smiled, pressing the phone closer to his ear. "papa?" Piper's small voice rang through his ears that warmed his heart.

"Hello, darling. How are you?" "I'm good!" the four year-old exclaimed, happiness bursting with her words. "I learned my powers today!"

and I wasn't there to see, Tyler thought. "R-really? Is it like papa's? Is it electricity?"

"nope!" Piper giggled. Tyler chuckled, hiding the fact that he was hurt, "then what is it, sweetheart?"

"I control stars, papa!" "Like mama?" Tyler smiled, walking out of the headquarters. He looked up the stars, knowing that his family was looking at them too.

"Yes! I-i can write you a message!" Piper squealed. Tyler saw the stars getting rearranged and a messy message of 'i love you, papa!' was written. Tyler felt his heart beat in pure bliss, "I love you too, Piper. I love you and your mama. I miss you"

"We miss you too, Ty" Y/n's voice said. "We'll talk to you tomorrow, papa. We love you so much and stay safe"

"I love you both too. Stay safe" Tyler smiled as he hung up. He sighed.

Being a hero caused him to drift away from his family. He got his powers, Electric Manipulation, when he was four. He learned about when he accidentally burnt a tree with his quirk.

When he entered the Academy for the Gifted, a school for people like him. He was put in Class 1-A, the class of students that were now well-known heroes, and he met his wife at the Academy.

Y/n L/n. A star student of the Academy, a pupil of Class 1-B, and his loving wife for 5 years. She had Star Dust Manipulation, a rare quirk as some would say, the same quirk Piper had.

Tyler was smitten by her and her quirk.

"Hey" a voice said. Tyler looked to his side and saw his best friend, Josh. Josh had Fire Manipulation and he was Tyler's sidekick when it comes to their missions. "Hey" Tyler replied.

"How's the family?" "Piper learned her powers today" Tyler frowned and Josh patted his back sympathetically. "It's okay, dude. You'll make it up to them"

"I hope so, as soon as we catch Blurryface and Dema. I hope we can go home" "We'll catch him. I promise" Josh assured.

Tyler suddenly heard a ringing through his earpiece and he pressed it closer, "Brendon? What's wrong?"

"Blurryface and Dema. East is up"

"Got it" Tyler nodded and Josh and he snapped his fingers, his costume appearing within seconds.

As soon as they ran to the scene, he noticed black smoke going up to the midnight sky. "We need back up! There's too many!" Josh shouted to his earpiece.

He noticed a group of villians surrounding them and he whistled at Josh and the red-haired boy nodded. Tyler stomped his foot on the ground as Josh jumped as high as he could.

He sent an electric wave to zap the villains. When he succeeded, Josh landed on both his feet and he pointed to a house.

"T-tyler, it's-"

Before Josh could finish, Tyler already dashed inside the house.

"Jumpsuit!" Tyler shouted

"I'll cover you!" he heard Josh shout back.

The fire inside was getting bigger and bigger by the minute and Tyler had to find them. He had to save them.

"Y/n?! Piper?!" he shouted, covering his nose. The smoke was darkening and it was hard to see. "P-papa!"

Tyler dashed to Piper's room and he kicked the door open. He stood in the doorway, the flames getting higher, and he saw Blurryface.

The villian's dark red robe flowing down to the floor and he had his hand on Tyler's wife and daughter.

"Say goodbye, Tyler"

"No!" Tyler shouted but it was too late. Blurryface had Death Manipulation – a quirk that only some could defeat. Blurry snapped his fingers and both of Tyler's girls fell on the floor.

"You sick bastard!" Tyler shouted, rage flowing through him. He stomped his foot and electrifying his arch nemesis.

Tyler walked up to the girls on the floor. The love of his life, dead. The little girl who stole his heart, dead.

Using all the power he had he screamed, all the electricity from above and around the house zapping the enemies one by one.

"I'm sorry" Tyler whispered, hugging Y/n's lifeless body. "I'm so sorry" he whispered again, looking over to his little girl.

"I love you both so much" He hiccuped, caressing Piper's cheek.

"Tyler? Are you coming home tonight?"

"I'm back, Y/n. I came home, Piper" he cried and the fire slowly died down.
