"hey, I'm gonna go to the store. Want something?" Josh asked as he perked his head in Tyler's door. Tyler looked up from his phone and shook his head, "I'm good. Stay safe"

I drove by all the places we used to hang out getting wasted
I thought about our last kiss, how it felt, the way you tasted
And even though your friends tell me you're doing fine

Josh climbed inside his car and sighed as he leaned his back on the car seat. He rubbed his face and looked over to the passenger seat. He pictured her sitting there, looking at her window as he drove. He would sometimes picture her laughing and smiling like they did as they drove to random places and get wasted.

Are you somewhere feeling lonely even though he's right beside you?
When he says those words that hurt you, do you read the ones I wrote you?

Y/n smiled as she waved at her manager. She looked at the phone in her hand and turned it on. The lockscreen was a picture of her and her boyfriend of two years. She unlocked it and her heart warmed up, like everytime she'd saw the homescreen.

She was on Josh's back, smiling widely and Josh was laughing. She opened her messages and scrolled to the very bottom, seeing Josh's messages.

Sometimes I start to wonder, was it just a lie?
If what we had was real, how could you be fine?

'Cause I'm not fine at all

Josh drove by some places they'd hang out when they were still young. Feeling his heart shatter as he pulled up on a familiar park. The park where they shared their first kiss, first meet, and last goodbye.

I remember the day you told me you were leaving
I remember the make-up running down your face
And the dreams you left behind you didn't need them
Like every single wish we ever made

"Josh..." his name lingered on her mouth as she whispered it. She turned around and hailed a cab.

I wish that I could wake up with amnesia
And forget about the stupid little things
Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you
And the memories I never can escape

'Cause I'm not fine at all

Josh smiled sadly as he climbed out, walking slowly towards the park.

The pictures that you sent me they're still living in my phone
I'll admit I like to see them, I'll admit I feel alone
And all my friends keep asking why I'm not around

He took his phone out and looked at the lockscreen. A picture of Y/n smiling wackly as the flash almost blinded her. Josh remembered that, when they were on their way to her house. He took a picture of her and the flash blinded her, it was a memory Josh didn't want to go away.

It hurts to know you're happy, yeah, it hurts that you've moved on
It's hard to hear your name when I haven't seen you in so long

She climbed in the cab and told the driver the address. On the way, the radio was playing a familiar music. "...and that was twenty one pilots-" her head snapped to the radio and she immediately thought about Josh. That was Tyler and Josh's band. A band that she saw growing.

It's like we never happened, was it just a lie?
If what we had was real, how could you be fine?
'Cause I'm not fine at all

Josh sat in a bench, the cool breeze brushing against his coat. He looked at the sunset and a small smile was placed upon his lips.

I remember the day you told me you were leaving
I remember the make-up running down your face
And the dreams you left behind you didn't need them
Like every single wish we ever made

Josh looked at the center of the field. The field where they'd chase each other or lay around with a blanket underneath them and the field where they had their final kiss and goodbye.

He remembers her make-up running down her skin as the moonlight illuminated her image. He remembers her warms lips on his.

I wish that I could wake up with amnesia
And forget about the stupid little things
Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you
And the memories I never can escape

Josh bit his lower lip as the memories flashed back. The pictures she sent him that were now in the wall of his room, the late night calls, and the stupid things they'd always do.

If today I woke up with you right beside me
Like all of this was just some twisted dreamI'd hold you closer than I ever did before
And you'd never slip away
And you'd never hear me say

She noticed that the driver pulled up in a familiar park. She thanked and paid him then climbed out of the vehicle.

I remember the day you told me you were leaving
I remember the make-up running down your face
And the dreams you left behind you didn't need them
Like every single wish we ever made

She looked around as she felt nostalgic. This was the park where'd they do stupid things and where they shared their final kiss.

I wish that I could wake up with amnesia
And forget about the stupid little things
Like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you
And the memories I never can escape

she walked up to the field and saw a guy walking away. She didn't mind the guy, thinking he was just a by passer. She went to the center and looked at the green grass, where she used to chase Josh around.

'Cause I'm not fine at all
No, I'm really not fine at all

Josh headed to his car as he ran a hair through his red hair. "She's not coming back" he whispered.

Tell me this is just a dream
'Cause I'm really not fine at all

"Josh, I'm here" she whispered as she looked at the bright moon.
