"Princess! Princess!" a villager called out. Y/n was talking to a wise villager before turning around.

Her eyes widens as she saw them carrying three unconscious men.

She ran towards them as they set the three strangers on the ground. "What happened?" she asked, looking at the boy in the middle.

"we found them unconscious not far from the village, they are badly injuried, your majesty." one said. She nodded, "get them to Spencer and bring me leaves from the leaf fairies." she instructed.

-

Brendon groaned as he fluttered his eyes open. He looked around, realizing this wasn't his hut.

He looked to his side, seeing Ryan and Jon, still unconscious. "Thank Celestia you're awake." an unknown voice said.

Brendon looked up, seeing the girl smile at him. She kneeled down and placed a bunch of green leaves on the cuts on his arm.

He hissed, his eyes turning a bit black before turning back to normal. "I'm sorry, I'm Y/n by the way."

Y/n the name lingered in his mind. He focused on her softened features as she treated his wounds.

"I'm Brendon."

"Why are you here in my village, Brendon?"

"We came here to help." he said, looking at the leaves on his arm. She looked up, her eyebrows knitting.

"Help?"

"We heard what happened to your village and I happen to be the General of my troop." he said, trying to sit up. She laid him back down, smiling to herself.

"Really? Thank you, we appreciate it."

-

After a few weeks of recovering, Brendon started to teach the villagers simple defenses. Y/n was playing with a bow and arrow, looking at the target then back at the weapon in her hands.

"Princess," Brendon said, startling her. She jumped a bit causing Brendon to chuckle. "Sorry, I came here to check on you."

"Umm, I think I'm having troubles," she blushed. "Let me help you then."

He grabbed her hands and aligned them in the right way, his hands clenched around hers and his chest pressed on her back.

"Steady, focus," he whispered, pulling the arrow back. She looked at the target as Brendon looked at her. "And let go." he said and she did. She hit the center of the target and she smiled.

"I did it!"

"Yes you did, princess." Brendon chuckled, ruffling her hair. She blushed and looked at the villagers, "it's been rough without them."

"Your parents?"

She nodded and sat the weapons down, "wherever they are, I hope they're happy."

"I'm sure they are, your highness." Brendon said and looked at Ryan, who was teaching gifted children with powers.

"How did you get your powers?" she asked out of the blue. "Oh, mine?" Brendon said, biting his lower lip. He couldn't say he got it from her uncle, who was also her greatest enemy. "I was born with it."

"Interesting," she hummed. She pointed to Spencer, "Spencer, got his powers when he was three. He can heal and at the same time kill people."

She pointed over to Dallon, "Dallon over there, got his when he learned how to talk,"

"Which was?"

"When he was two. He can control and tame dragons and other mythical creatures in the forest."

She turned to Brendon, "I haven't discovered mine yet but I know some,"

"And that is?" Brendon asked, tilting his head. She smiled, waving her hand. A single black rose appeared upon the ground. "I can control nature and talk to creatures."

Brendon took the flower, snapping it from it's stem. He puts it on top of her ear, "that's a wonderful power, Y/n." he smiled.

She blushed and looked over to his friends, "what do your friends do?"

"Ryan controls both fire and water," Brendon said. "While Jon can control the wind and he can fly."

-

"Where are we going?" Brendon asked as she leads him up the mountain. "I'm going to see if the fire fairies are-"

"Fire fairies?" He beamed and she nodded, she pushed back a bush and Brendon's eyes widen.

Millions of little fire dancing around a cave. "Princess!" they chanted as they spot Y/n.

She smiled, "hello, little ones," she whispered as they bow upon her feet.

"How is the breeding?"

"The hell hounds are done giving birth, your majesty," one fairy said. She looked at Brendon, "aren't they supposed to be bad?"

She shook her head, "not all hell hounds are bad, Brendon. I had one when I was six."

She turned back to the fairies, "and the Phoenixes?"

"Also done, your royalness."

She looks up to Brendon, "wanna see?"

He smiles as she pulls him inside the cave. The fairies lead them to the nursery. She hushes Brendon down, not wanting to wake the little ones up. She sat infront of a sleeping hell hound puppy, "Dallon and I used to play with Luci."

"Luci?"

She nodded, running her hand through it's fur. "My hell hound, she died saving me."

"I'm sorry to hear that, Y/n." he said, putting a hand on her knee. She smiled and looks at the puppy, "you know, this one has your eye color"

Brendon looked down, she was right. The pup didn't have a red-ish glow to it's fur, instead it was chocolate brown.

"your highness, that puppy is sick," one fairy said. "How so?" She asked.

"His parents died a while ago and he cannot produce any heat within its body."

She frowned feeling pity for the pup. "Then, we'll take it." Brendon chimed in.

She beamed, "we are?"

"We will"

-

"I just.. I don't trust him thaaaaat much" Dallon said, sitting next to her. She chuckled, "you don't trust anyone, Dal."

"Except for you and Spencer then yeah," Dallon sighed. Y/n smiled as she patted the little hell hound's head.

"What are you gonna call him?"

"Bren" she said. "Ooooh, do you like-"

"No, I don't," she blushed. Dallon smirked and nudged her arm, "you have my blessing."

"Dallon!" she giggled.

"PRINCESS Y/N!"
